[Luffy's voice comes on not too long after docking back in Discedo, but his usual enthusiasm is definitely not there. His voice is a bit serious, yet with a tang of guilt in there.]

Hey everyone, it's Luffy. I'm just checking in to see that you guys got the medical attention or rest you need. [He'll rest in his own room soon. He's silent for a bit longer, and then begins to speak again.]

And... I'm sorry I couldn't keep us all safe. I'll try harder next time, I promise--! [It's hard to tell if he's reassuring himself or the others. But his voice cracks slightly, and he just has one last thing to say.]

I'm... really, really sorry for the people who died.

[And now he's going to just go to his apartment and stay there for a while.]

[It is a pensive teenage half-ghost that opens the feed tonight. He is silent for a moment before he begins speaking.]

So... I had a lot of time to think on the way back here. And I've decided that I haven't been doing my job right. Been too caught up in everything. I mean, at first I thought I'd only be here for a few days. And then that turned into weeks. It looks like I'm here for the long haul.

I guess what it all comes down to, is that I'm going to be starting up a few things in Dissimulo.

Back home it was my job to fight off ghost attacks. Kind of a family thing, you know. [He shrugs.] Obviously, you don't have too much need for that around here. Yet. So I'm expanding that to general monster attacks or even if anyone needs any help. Just send me a message on this communicator thing and I'll be there.

As part of that I'm moving out. Sorry, Sora. I'm taking over one of the empty buildings in Dissimulo. Figured I needed somewhere to start building into the new Fentonworks. Dissimulo Branch. Back home it was kind of like an anti-ghost fortress. Sometimes. I figured we might have need of something like that here.

[He takes the communicator and aims the video at a building. Right now it looks like all the other residences in Dissimulo. Except for the giant green stylized F he'd just finished painting on the side. Danny turns the communicator back on himself and grins cheekily.]

What can I say? It's a tradition.

Oh! Also I heard that there were some supply dumps in the other towns? If someone wants to me tell me where they are I was thinking of starting making regular trips out to start building up some kind of stockpile here. Figure I can get there and back faster than anyone else here.

[The video clicks on at an odd angle, first catching a flash of feet (or rather legs disappearing in the floodwaters) as it tilts upward, past a leather clad torso and finally unsteadily framing a rather damp, rather irritated looking woman. On closer inspection, she almost looks--tired.]

[Have a shivering and completely soaked Conan. From the background of the feed it is fairly obvious that he is on the roof of one of the buildings in Dissimulo.]

Is anyone able to make it through the flood? Its too deep for me.

[Washu happens to be sitting on one of her floating pillows facing her balcony with a clear view of the sky and all it's gloominess..]

So.. does it usually rain frogs or are we just special right now? Usually, I would write off the weather as something the scientists concocted to keep us on our toes, but even I don't think they would resort to earthquakes.

Anyone else register the minor trembling earlier?

And that's without even knowing it's already recording, quickly evidenced by how he tries to fiddle with it to get it on before nodding to himself as if he got it working.]

Are those annoying harpies usually accurate about this sort of crap?

A regular storm would be fine, a New World storm... this place doesn't have the building structure to survive it. And what the fuck was with that volcano crack? Surely that's bullshit. [Language language. But yeah, he forgot there are probably kids listening, and the dude can't swim, nor does he have his bike. Shit sucks yo.]

[When the video feed switches on there is a faint, spider's web line across the center of the image, as if the lens of the camera itself is cracked.]

[Hakuba is looking slightly less put together than is his norm, hair askew and coat jacket bundled tightly around one of his hands, obscuring it completely from view. His shirt sleeves are rolled up to his elbows and the look he's giving the device could almost be considered bemused, under the circumstances, even if he does look a bit strained.]

Somehow when the note said "use this", I don't imagine it meant as a blunt weapon.

While I'm certain it's far too much to ask for the proper authorities to be called in this situation as that would rather contradict my being here in the first place, I don't suppose it could be too outrageous to request some sort of bandages or antiseptic, could it?

[He frowns slightly as a thought occurs to him and tightens the jacket around his hand a little bit more.] I'm not going to need some form of tetanus or rabies shot after being bitten by one of these... creatures, will I?

((OOC: Hakuba has landed in DISCEDO... and been promptly attacked by a monster D:))
