[Action/Video] 001
[If anyone was walking around Discedo, you'll probably spot a soldier standing against a building. That wouldn't be too unusual of a sight, except that this soldier had a giant red, white, and blue shield strapped to his back. He also didn't seem to be bothered by the rain, but he was also wearing a blue helmet with a giant A in the middle of it.
Anyway, there was a small frown on his face as he worked the communicator in his hands, obviously not used to this kind of technology. However, he'll get at least the basic video function working in a few minutes.]
Is... is this working? [Steve looked at the video feed with a somewhat confused expression. He was uncertain about using this thing in the first place, but with his enhanced abilities suddenly disappearing and the thought of the serum only being temporary because of that, he decided to use it. Besides, he wanted to find Bucky and the others as fast as possible. Sneaking around in this place didn't really get him anywhere.]
This is... Captain America. [He seemed a little awkward admitting that.] Does anyone the coordinates of our current location? Or a brief description will help as well.

Except he's not whoopsssss. Better than spazzing at least. ]
Sorry sir, it's just like. You're my favorite hero. Ever. Like more than Superman or Batman, and I watch the shit outta that Adam West series. And you ain't real. Uh, not... back home. In my world, anyway. Yeah.
[ The grin hasn't left his face and he's still fidgeting happily. ]
So this is pretty much the biggest thing since I've been to space, man. Er, sir. Aw man, but if I met you in space? Like if I got to the moon and you were just chillin' there waiting to save the day? I would never need anything ever again. I'd just be like, "Game over Russia. Cold War's over. You know who won? Captain America."
( video ) 1/2
[He feels bad for causing someone to have a meltdown like this.] And you can call me Steve... [Steve trails off as he watches America disappear from the screen. Well then.]
( video )
I... thank you, but it really just depends on your definition of a hero. [And quite honestly, Steve didn't think he's done anything "heroic" so far.] I'm certain that Batman and Superman are good though. [Even though he has no idea who they are.]
So, you're from Earth? [He's a bit confused since he's apparently not real on this guy's planet and that he went to space... but he also mentioned Russia.] And I'm not fighting against Russia.
( video )
Yeah, yeah, Earth, but there's all sorts of Earth, you dig? Like... parallel realities or something. Complicated stuff. But it ain't crazy talk. It's real. If ya don't believe me now ya sure will after you've been here a while. Oh man, just wait 'til you see the troll girl that licks everything. Now she's a trip.
[ ...wait what was he talking about again. OH. ] You're not fighting Russia. No. And... I'm not really either. Not actually. We haven't gone toe to toe yet but we're hovering over doomsday. Nuclear apocalypse is at our fingertips.
[ Okay wow he is rambling about ALL THE WRONG THINGS to his favorite person. He blinks, flushes, and stumbles over his words trying to change the topic. ]
N-never mind. Ain't anything to worry about! Sorry sir. Uh. Should probably introduce myself huh?
I'm The United States of America! The one, the only, and the best! Well... not the only, apparently there's a girl version of me in another reality, but. [ grinning sheepishly ] Pretty obvious why you're my favorite, huh? Don't worry sir-- Steve. Cap. From one hero to another, you've got the right definition for "hero" in my book!
( video )
He's only partly successful. He kinda got confused again at the part with the troll girl.]
Nuclear apocalypse? What's happening? [Now he's kinda frowning because wow, that didn't sound good. He's worried again and even though he might be from a different... Earth, he definitely still cares about parallel world people.]
[And now he's back to being surprised again. And confused. It's a normal state for him in Discedo so far. HE'LL GET BETTER AT THIS REALLY...] You're the United States? [He'll just think that it is a stage name, kinda like his own 'Captain America' thing to sell war bonds.]
[But he'll smile back because even though America is rambling a lot, he still seemed like a good guy.] I appreciate that, sir. I'm sure that you're a great hero in your own right too.
( video )
[ everyone should be worried. though on the plus side the world is still okay fifty years later SO REALLY HE'S TELLING THE TRUTH HERE...
America should start explaining things about Discedo, but he's simply too overwhelmed by this meeting with his hero. And Steve called him a hero back! He needs no other validation. It's here. This is it. America can now die happy.
He doesn't realize that Steve doesn't really get that he's actually a country. But he'll get it in due time. ]
Thanks, sir, that means a lot! Ehehehe!
[ Hideous stoned laughter. Now he's just staring unblinkingly with his face almost pressed up against the screen. Behold your number one fan, Steve. It's only going to get weirder. ]
( video )
[Maybe he should check up on him. Wherever he is. He's still worried about the metal appendage he saw earlier as well.] ...Are you okay, sir? I can try to find your location.
( video )
[ He nods in affirmation. Yes, this surely isn't the paranoia talking. America's about to say, Of course I'm alright! but then he realizes oh shit he has done nothing to help Steve HE IS NOT BEING A VERY GOOD HOST. COUNTRY. Thing. ]
OH! Shoot! It's me that should be finding you! I gotta bring ya over to my embassy––I mean, it ain't exactly a ticket home for obvious reasons, but it's where I am and I've kept it a safe ground for Americans and that's where you belong!
( video )
I appreciate the offer, sir, but I'm not planning on staying in safe grounds for an extended time. Do you have these grounds available for everyone though? Not just Americans.
( video )
America looks a little disappointed, but really isn't in his right mind to try to convince Cap otherwise. ]
Oh sure, they're open to everyone! Those troll kids live downstairs. And there's some Americans that don't live on-base. There's houses a town over--I live there too--and there's more apartments around this city. And there's another city, but it's like half a day away. But no one really lives there.
( video )
And he notices the disappointment. But Steve is glad that they're open to everyone (even troll kids) and not just Americans.]
I'll check these grounds. Which direction are they in?
( video ) 1/2
Uh. Marshall Street. That's where my embassy is. The others are on Latimir and... Horton... and uh... there was Gohl here but it's gone now.
I dunno what street you're on so I can't give directions from there, but...
( text )
( video ) 1/2
Marshall. Understood. [lmao I just totally forgot that Steve hasn't mentioned what street he was on.]
( video ) 2/2
It's a nice map. [At least he knows where Marshall's general approximation is. Hopefully.]
( video )
Only the best for you, sir! [ America salutes with his right hand... which is actually the chainsaw hand. It's a miracle that that he manages to not cut himself. ]
( video )
Sir? What happened to your hand? [Steve looks worried.]
( video )
Eh, lost the real one in a fight. It's running around here somewhere, think it's been mostly hanging around Taiwan, but in the mean time I've decided to go with a badass replacement!
( video )
[He's frowning a little now, but he's still mostly worried.] Is that really safe? [He's seen chainsaws, but not on someone's arm before.]
( video )
Well, I didn't really leave it with her. It kinda just... wandered away. On its own. [ Yes his severed hand is sentient and he is not perturbed by this what of it. ] Guess it likes her or something!
As for this. [ He goes back to smirking. ] It's perfectly safe when it's off. When it's on? Hoo boy, no one better try and mess with me!
( video )
Didn't know it was possible to attach a chainsaw to your arm. But as long as you're okay.
( video )
First you gotta know that this place is kinda tricky for my kind. Embodiments of countries millions of light years away from their land and people? Pretty jarring. Back home we're something like immortal. Exact specifications for that get pretty complicated, but here, well, I dunno about the rest of 'em but I'm harder to kill than the average human, but I ain't exactly unkillable. Then there's some other weird stuff about being a country, blah blah, now let's move on to my rad skills!
I'm pretty strong, for one. Maybe as strong as you! I've been lifting buffalo since I was a toddler--uh, since the 1600s, whatever. When I was young and tiny. So I've got that! And this one time, this demon who took over my brother's body made me a stew outta my bro's polar bear, but guess what? I puked that little guy right back up alive and well. I can puke polar bears. And I'm sure I've got loads of other powers that are just waiting to be unlocked in dire circumstances! That's basically my greatest power and greatest responsibility: being America.
You know why I can have an operating chainsaw as a replacement hand?
Because freedom.
( video )
Um, you're really the embodiment of the United States? [Steve has to tell himself that America is from a parallel Earth and it might be possible in that place. Or something.]
