Second Cake - Video

( The feed opens up to an empty bed room. However if whoever is watching is to stay a few more seconds, they can hear two different voices yelling at each other. )

Aiyaa! I haven't tied my hair up yet aru!

Crap! I haven't even changed!

Y-You may change Stocking. I won't start without you.

What should I wear? A dress or something?

I think you'll look lovely in anything, but you have more dresses, it would be more easier and faster for you.

( Not that anyone can see but Stocking changes quickly and appears in the feed. She sits down on the bed she and China share. She is followed by China and they both stare at the screen, both grabbing each other's hands. China begins to speak with a big blush on his face. )

Nihao...We both have a very important announcement that we would like everyone to hear, aru.

( Stocking faces China softly and stares at him lovingly. )

Well you see the thing is I really love Yao...a lot, and he loves me.

Y-Yes that is right. Also whether or not you noticed, Stocking has a ring on her finger. A wedding ring...I gave her that ring.

And I'm going to marry Yao, the one who gave me the ring.

( China's expression suddenly becomes confident. )

Yes.

So I, Wang Yao, and my fiancee, Anarchy Stocking, would like to invite family, friends, everyone to our engagement party and wedding.

So that's it. If anyone decides to fuck this up, I will murder you.

[OOC: That's right, they are getting married for those of you who didn't know. Also red is China and blue is Stocking. Feel free to have your character freak out or scream in joy. ]

Yeah? That sounds like fun!

Mind if I volunteer?
gochuugoku: (fated role of being patronized would)

[personal profile] gochuugoku 2012-05-24 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
Of course not~ I'm very glad that you are volunteering, aru! Now to find three more people.

I should start considering what food shall be served at our wedding feast too... I know for sure that there will have to be many desserts. Luckily, Chinese wedding cakes are small and easy to make.
fierybluebird: (uncertain)

[personal profile] fierybluebird 2012-05-24 11:08 am (UTC)(link)
Ah yeah... that would be a lot of work, eh? You want help with that too? I'm not the best chef though.

Oh! I can bring booze!
gochuugoku: (/lurk)

[personal profile] gochuugoku 2012-05-25 04:42 am (UTC)(link)
It's fine. Guests should not be doing much work, after all, and you have already volunteered to help carry the litter.

[He laughs.] Yes, we are going to need that too.
fierybluebird: (lazily mocking you)

[personal profile] fierybluebird 2012-05-27 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
It's no trouble, eh! And I'd feel bad letting the bride and groom do most of the work.

Although this does make me glad pirate weddings are pretty simple.
gochuugoku: (:o?)

[personal profile] gochuugoku 2012-05-27 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
Well, if you insist you can help make some Chinese wedding cakes then.

What are pirate weddings like anyway?
fierybluebird: (I'm blue daba dee daba da)

[personal profile] fierybluebird 2012-05-27 11:33 am (UTC)(link)
Aye, I'd be honored.

Extremely simple, but not very common. Most you get your captain's permission and he officiates it. You both agree and promise whatever vows you want, and then everyone gets drunk and rowdy.

Most pirates don't bother though since it's dangerous for civilians to even be associated with pirates and most countries wouldn't acknowledge the legality of it. Still, sometimes it happens, eh?

Everyone falls in love at least once.

In China, we have many love stories that depict lovers going through certain trials.
fierybluebird: (amused)

[personal profile] fierybluebird 2012-05-30 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
It's not so much that pirate never fall in love, they just don't care about making things official.

What kind of trials?
gochuugoku: (Holding each other tightly terrified)

Death and their ranks in society.

There is one famous love story that involves the Great Wall of China. A woman went in search of her husband, who was among the thousands of builders building the wall. She looked at every work sight there was, but when she finally found the site were her husband had worked, the other workers told her that he was dead and buried within the wall. So grieved was the woman that she cried for two days and nights. Suddenly, a section of the Great Wall crumbled, revealing her husband's corpse to her. It is believed that the gods were saddened by her strong cries, that was why they made that section of the wall crumble.

However, this caught the emperor's attention and when he saw the woman he was captivated by her beauty. He asked her to become his concubine. She falsely promised to marry the emperor if he gave her husband a red-carpet funeral. It was done, but then the woman committed suicide right after her husband's funeral by throwing herself into the sea so she could join him in the afterlife.

[These stories man.]
fierybluebird: (unsure)

[personal profile] fierybluebird 2012-06-01 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
That is... quite the trial.
gochuugoku: (Maybe if you do this)

[personal profile] gochuugoku 2012-06-02 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
[They are so romantic, aren't they~!]

Yes, quite.

Then there is another famous love story, which we celebrate during the Qīxī Jié.
fierybluebird: (uncertain)

[personal profile] fierybluebird 2012-06-03 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
[SO romantic. All Marco can think is that Japan and China seem to have a lot more in common than Japan thinks.]

Oh? What happens in that?
gochuugoku: (Ah... If I were to be reborn)

[personal profile] gochuugoku 2012-06-03 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
[Oh, China's well aware that they have things in common. Too bad he's never managed to quite get it through the other's skull. Or maybe he has... who knows.]

A young cowherd, who we call Niulang, met Zhinü, the seventh daughter of the Goddess of Heaven. They soon fell in love with one another and were married, without permission from the Goddess. They had two healthy children.

However, the Goddess was furious that her daughter had married a mere mortal, without her permission no less, so she forcefully brought her daughter back home and made her continue with her duty of weaving colorful clouds. Meanwhile, back on earth Niulang was upset by the disappearance of his wife. Suddenly, his ox spoke to him, telling him that if he killed (the ox) and put on his hide, he would be able to go to Heaven to search for his wife.

Niulang killed the ox, but cried bitterly as he did, put on the hide, and traveled to Heaven, taking his two children with him. He managed to find Zhinü, but the Goddess discovered this. So, using her hairpin, the Goddess scratched a wide river in the sky to separate the husband and wife forever. We believe this river to be the Milky Way that stands in the sky today. Now, Zhinü can only weave on her loom on one side of the river while she sadly watches Niulang take care of their children on the other side, with him returning her forlorn gaze.

But... it's believed that once a year, all the magpies in the world gather so they may form a bridge the lovers can use to reunite. Unfortunately, they can only be reunited for one night every year, or else they will invoke the Goddess' fury again. This one special night is said to take place on the night of the Qīxī Jié. The Qīxī Jié is what inspired Tanabata in Japan, which is another star festival, aru.

Sugoi... All right, that one's a lot better. [In his opinion. But this story has stars and birds so of course he likes it more.] What happened with their kids?
gochuugoku: (pic#3737651)

[personal profile] gochuugoku 2012-06-10 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
The story never really specifies of what became of their children, but some believe that they stay by their father's side, for we call their stairs Hè Gu 1 and Hè Gu 3.
fierybluebird: (fond grin)

[personal profile] fierybluebird 2012-06-10 12:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Hah... that is a better story then, eh?
gochuugoku: (Orange)

[personal profile] gochuugoku 2012-06-11 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
It does have a better ending than the other, in a way. I can actually see Stocking and myself as Niulang and Zhinü. Just as the Milky Way separates them, so too do the dimensions that separate our worlds.

However, we are here together now, so that is all that matters at the moment.
fierybluebird: (angel)

[personal profile] fierybluebird 2012-06-11 04:17 pm (UTC)(link)
[Grins.] Aye, it's very befitting for the two of you. This place is rather ironic like that isn't it? Still, I'm sure you'll find a way to stay together.
gochuugoku: (Golden)

[personal profile] gochuugoku 2012-06-12 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
I'm sure we will. There's always a way one way or another.
fierybluebird: (amused)

[personal profile] fierybluebird 2012-06-13 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
Aye. Enjoy it while you can, eh?
gochuugoku: (Cuts eternity's records)

[personal profile] gochuugoku 2012-06-13 09:59 am (UTC)(link)
Of course. Once the wedding is over, we will have a few days to ourselves.
fierybluebird: (cool breeze)

[personal profile] fierybluebird 2012-06-20 06:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah yes, honeymoon. Got something special planned?
gochuugoku: (pic#3737645)

[personal profile] gochuugoku 2012-06-21 10:30 am (UTC)(link)
You'll have to forgive me, but I promised the bride-to-be that I would keep such plans a secret between us only.

[So they may be undisturbed.]
