[The device is turned on, adjusted, and then shows Cube's face.]

Ah, good evening, Discedo. I do hope you're all keeping dry.

Does anyone have any recommendations for living quarters? As much as I like where I am, I believe it's about time to-

[A flash of bright light fills the room as a loud crack of thunder follows. Not a second later, the little demon is knocked over by a blur of red and yellow. The communicator falls to the floor and slides to reveal Flandre clinging to Cube quite tightly.]

F-Flandre-chan! L-Let go! Too tight-- ack!

Le tonnerre, le tonnerre!

[Cube reaches for the communicator, gagging and trembling with all his strength to type something while the vampire has him in a death grip. Rather than send what he typed, the feed clicks off.]

[She twitches again at the sound that is not thunder; probably some of the words sinking through. Her grip relaxes a little bit with surprise.]

[Cube takes a breath, then a larger gasp as soon as he can. As he does, his whole body seems to deflate as he catches his breath.

After a moment he smiles towards the device.]

T-Thank you, Meryl-san.

[He turns his attention towards his not!daughter.]

Flandre-chan it's alright. It's simply thunder. Lets get up now.

[Thank the Light he has a (grand)dad voice. For a moment he was kind of worried there.]

The thunder...? Ah...I understand. [That does make sense. He was scared of thunder when he was little.] You're safe inside, Flandre. And I'm certain Cube wouldn't let it hurt you anyway.

[then_there_were_none]

[Flandre whines again. Though she's at least not choking Cube, she wasn't helping in this getting up endeavor either.

At least she wasn't very heavy.]

...but it's scary.

[After a moment of attempting to get up, Cube just lies back down.]

Meryl-san is right.

And I can protect Flandre-chan better if she isn't laying on top of me!

[Though, thankfully the storm really isn't after Flandre or Cube would have a lot more problems to deal with.]
