[There's sounds of China playing his bamboo flute. No specific song, just a couple of notes. However, some of the notes begin to fail. There's a tremble in them until they come out as nothing more than a raspy sound. Unseen by others, China takes his flute away from his lips.]

I never got to tell her what I wanted I say.

[If anyone wants to run into him, he's sitting on a tree branch within Discedo's Horizon Park.]

"Aru" is just something that I say after my sentences at times, at least when I'm speaking English.

Because I was different from the rest of society. Isn't that always the reason?

I was not human. I knew that much when I was small, but I did not know what I was, exactly. The people didn't know what I was either, most assumed I was a demon incarnate.

I remember the other children used to take my things and throw them somewhere in the forest. They made it difficult to find them with every time, aru.

But... I don't let that make me sad today, at least not for too long. It is all in the past, after all.

It's not easy, I know that. However, I learned the hard way that to cling to such things is not good. On the other hand, you shouldn't completely let go either; I also learned that the hard way.

You remember, but you don't cling, you move on with time.

That's why you don't completely let go, but at the same time you do not hang on to the point where you are clinging as though your life depended on it.

Humans are adaptable beings and so are beings like me, aru. Except in our case, we don't have a choice but to be adaptable. If we were not, we would have died just like all the others who couldn't adapt to changing times.
