((The feed starts out very...GREEN!! Looks like someone left their communicator in the grass. Oh well. Guess we'll just have to enjoy the feed and NATURE for a little while. Guess it's the evening... Not much to see right now, you guys.But! Tune in. Sounds like things are indeed happening. The splashing of water faintly indicates where the feed originates. Occasionally the green wall of leaf is blown aside just slightly, showing off the shoreline and plain sky. You can guess it's a nice day out. Not sure why anyone would want to go swimming in this weather, or in THAT water. Crazy bastards, but isn't Discedo full of 'em.

More splashing; silence picks up. The leaf blocking your view rustles again, and a quick rush of the wind blows it momentarily out of the way.

While the scene was fleeting, anyone could rewind back and remind themselves that this is no joke. The pink haired doctor--Sakura, unsurprisingly--lays across the beach with her bodyguard over her. His mouth reaches down to touch hers. It's distant, but telling; the leaf replaces the scene almost immediately.

When it's finally blown out of the way again, some minutes later, she's sitting up, her arms swung around his neck. Shizuo is just then finding his way through this hug.))

((ooc; Backdated to the evening of the 16th over Shizuo's feed. They won't be responding to any messages until the next day (the 17th), MEANING by the time they say anything to anybody, they're caught up in the middle of Truth or Dare!!! Additionally, Sakura and Shizuo were in the hospital that evening, rather than returning home. Housemates should have gotten a message about not showing up. Here's a log if anyone cares for details HAHA.

BTW, for the event: Sakura is lies and obedience, Shizuo is lies and disobedience.))

[ He hangs up with a click and exits the hospital, beelining for the shopping district.

He expects Izaya to be out there waiting for him, but he's faced with an empty street. ]

Don't come out, wherever you are!

[Izaya's face deadpanned at Shizuo's words.

It wasn't like him to be this sarcastic.

Actually that didn't even sound like sarcasm Shizuo genuinely sounded serious.]

[But by then the blond had already hung up, leaving Izaya to his own mind and contemplation.

What had happened there?

Why did he feel this compulsion to be so truthful all of a sudden? To actually express his anger rather than to hide it and pretend as if he felt something else?

And why was Shizuo speaking like a pre-teen who had just gained the ability to speak sarcastically and, as a consequence, idiotically?]

[By the time Shizuo got there Izaya had calmed relatively down. (Or so he hoped). The male was more of an introvert, was able to think clearly when he was alone rather than through discussion with 'friends'.

He had heard of strange happenings occurring in this place. But could the ability to lie or speak the truth really be something this world controlled?]

Guess it is a good thing I am already outside then.

[A rock hit against the back of Shizuo's head as the informant smirked down at him from the edge of the parking garage's second level.]

Ne, Shizu-chan. Before we begin I have a question~

[Izaya lifted himself up to jump over the railing to the ground below.]

What is your brother's name?

[ When the rock hits him, it only serves to garner his attention.

He looks up at the rooftop, annoyed that Izaya thinks himself higher. Positioning spoke volumes. However, he is rightfully surprised when asked such a simple question. His eyes narrow dangerously. ]

What the fuck are you tryin' to pull, Izaya? Is this another one of your tricks?

It's... [ Shizuo tries to form the name in his mind. It's there, but for some reason... ]

H-Hanejima Yuuhei... [ A lie, but a clever one. It seems he's not entirely stupid. ]

Since when have you called him by his stage name, Shizu-chan?

[Calm rested in Izaya's eyes as he approached the blond.]

What is his real name? Or have you forgotten your own dear brother's name?

... I... I'm...

[ Shizuo feels his angered expression slipping into something more mortified.

He doesn't answer, merely stands there. Then his eyebrows slowly knit together, lip curling.

His fists shake with the urge to throttle him. ]

Do you hate me, Shizu-chan?

[As if he had no worry concerning his own safety Izaya continued to move closer until he was standing in front of Shizuo]

Is that why you kissed her?

... [ Damn it. Damn it all.

Why can't he just answer the way he wanted to? Why is this happening to him? He hates Izaya, he hates him so much, he ruined his life, he continues to ruin his life, so when he opens his mouth to speak, why does something so unpredictable start to form in his throat? ]

I DON'T HATE YOU! WITH EVERY FUCKIN' BIT OF ME, I DON'T.

It's simple now, Izaya! It's way simpler now. Why couldn't you just fuckin' stay in Ikebukuro?!

[ He pants, ruffling at his blond hair, wanting to pace, wanting to throw something, yell more, crush him.

He hates violence. But some things are so easily solved by it... so easily... ]

I KISSED HER, I DIDN'T HAVE TO, SHE WASN'T GONNA DIE!

[Izaya is quiet for a few seconds as he watches Shizuo. The blond was frustrated. Izaya was frustrated.

As well as still slightly hurt.

Shizuo had told him he was the one constant in his life. And yet clearly that wasn't true.

Clearly, despite all of Izaya's work, the hatred he had grown wasn't enough to keep Shizuo in Izaya's web]

How disgusting

It makes me sick watching that.

[And yet the memory wouldn't leave him]

Since when have you been allowed to kiss others?

[Izaya's voice rose again to as anger appeared once more in his scarlet eyes.

Romance.

Love.

Monster's like Shizuo weren't allowed to have that.

He needed to stop Shizuo's changing. To set him back on the right track.

The track of destruction and violence.]

Try and kill me!!

[ He can't do it.

For some reason, something is stopping him from attacking Izaya. He wants to, longs to, but can't. It's like he's fused in place. To disobey. That is what he is meant for right now. He wouldn't listen to him, wouldn't give him the satisfaction.

But he hasn't wanted something so badly in an extremely long time. ]

I can kill you.

Why do you give a damn about everythin' I do, anyway?!

[ He clenches his fists and takes another stride forward, still disobeying the order to kill. His hand reaches up, fingers coiling around Izaya's throat, but they pause there, unable to squeeze.

His scowl demonstrates that he is trying to oppose and override his mysterious binds, but there's only a twitch, the grating of his teeth. ]

Why're you so fuckin' concerned with who I kiss?!

Because you're not allowed to be happy!!

[Not while Izaya was miserable.

Not while Izaya was lonely.

The monster was not allowed to be happy while all Izaya does is suffer]

[Izaya doesn't move, doesn't flinch as Shizuo gets his hand around his neck]

Because that kiss belonged to me!!

[One day long ago, upon their very first meeting, Shizuo had proclaimed an outright hatred for Izaya.

It had made him laugh.

It was the first time someone had ever said something like that to him.

And from a monster no less!

It had amused Izaya even as it frustrated him. This monster hated him? What right did he have to hate someone who may as well be a God to humanity?

He wanted to ruin Shizuo's life.]

[But somewhere along the way things became messed up.

Lines became blurry.

And now...He no longer knew his own reasoning for his hatred of Shizuo.

Did he hate him for being a monster?

Or did he hate him because he feared Shizuo would stop hating him and move on?

Leaving the male who was already alone-

With nothing]

And I won't allow you to give it to anyone else anymore!

[With Shizuo's hand still around his neck Izaya suddenly leaned forward. Lip's met in a clash that was more of a battlefield than a kiss as the raven's nails dig into Shizuo's chest]

What are you goin' on about? I'm-

[ There are no warnings. Nothing he can react to. No tells he can spot before it happens. It absolutely stuns him. Freezes up his joints. His eyes get wide, pupils pinpricks. He stares - for the briefest moment, yet the longest he's even known.

So many questions surface in his mind. So many conclusions. His heart slams against his chest, blood pounding in his ears; he can't hear, he can't breathe, he can't move, he just fucking stands there. He hates him, with every piece of himself he hates him. Why, why does he just stand there?

Do something. Crush his windpipe, choke-slam him into the asphalt, punch him, knee him, do something. ]

[ In the middle of the shopping district in broad daylight, Shizuo reciprocates.

Why, he has no idea. He could blame it on many things. Caught in a moment of weakness. Tricked into it. Hormones. Loneliness. Blind hate. After months of being excommunicated from his home, Izaya's the only piece of Ikebukuro he has left. And maybe everything truly sunk in when the louse started picking at old wounds.

Grabbing his thin bicep, Shizuo slams Izaya up against the outside wall of the nearest store a little too roughly. It's all hurried mouths, sliding tongues, teeth snagging lips, bruising pressure. There's nothing gentle about it, nothing civil, nothing caring.

And for a few good minutes, it stays like this. ]

[ Until Shizuo breaks away to slap Izaya in the side of the head. Hard. ]
