[ Hello, residents of Fortuna. This feed has turned on in what seems to be the middle of a conversation. Its participants seem to be discussing something Quite Serious, if their tone is to be believed. Let's listen in, shall we? ]

Y'know everyone's gotta think Jack and a loaf of bread's a good idea now, right? Ever since Valentine's and all.

I still say bread would do better with butter. But bread gets around almost as much as Greece. Let's see there's Hungary, Norway, France. Anyone else I'm missing?

Only the ones I told you about before, yeah? It's probably not as many as you could pick for America. I mean, there's the obvious one, right? Though I guess that didn't end too well.

[ There's a pause here, like he might be referencing something. ] Tons of people are gonna wanna pair him off with like, England. And there's girl England too. I bet people'd pair them together, actually. Plus she definitely has a thing for France, too.

I see her a lot more with France, eh. And eh... I know it's different for countries but America/England still seems too much like incest.

Something to be said for China/Stocking, eh? And even anyone brave enough to make a move like Yukiteru and Yuno.

Yeah, they had a pretty interesting post for Valentine's. They weren't the only ones either. Would've been pretty funny if the Doctor had made some kinda love confession to his ship, yeah? The TARDIS, that's what it's called. I'm gonna write that one down.

I'd totally be letting my pupils off easy if I didn't say Clive and Sasuke. That one's interesting. So is Clive and Flora, they've got some chemistry. And like, what about kismesis or whatever it's called? Shizuo and Sasuke could totally count for that.

Aye, Clive and Sasuke seem to get around too, eh? [ Nods in complete agreement with his little bro. ] Shizuo and Terezi too, don't you think? At least as far as kismesis go. And you have to have Sakura and Naruto and that new guy... Bolin? He and Sora are pretty cute together. And speaking of cute, Adam and Makoto, right?

How about Yuuko and Watanuki? I bet he'd get along with Yukiteru too, yeah?

Seems legit to me. [ Strokes chin in thought. ] What about sillier ones like Karkat and possums?

Okay, if you're gonna go there, Brooke and underwear. What's the deal there anyway?

He missed his chance while he was alive so making up for lost time I guess. How about Molly and Jay?

[ There's some scratching and shuffling here, which is indicative of Hong Kong writing that down pretty quickly. ] Any others come to mind?

That's cool, they're bound to find out eventually. Hey, Marco, d'you think people ship us too?

It's alright Marco... I probably shouldn't have been so harsh on you for it, as you are from a different world so would have no idea... At least now you know for the future? Besides... I think Lady Leanne really sort of likes you even if you do make bad impressions sometimes. You remind me quite a bit of the hawk tribe from my world, who are much like brothers to the heron tribe.

Mhmm! You see... Where do I begin? I guess I should probably explain in detaill... The bird tribes were always quite close to each other, and they viewed the Heron tribe as kin in many respects. They're kind of a bit like pirates of the sky, quite fierce, but incredibly loyal to each other... and rather honorable in many respects. To those that they feel deserve their trust at any rate.

After the massacre of their Heron brothers, the Hawk Tribe swore bloody vengeance on the nation of Begnion for their crimes of genocide. The leader of the Begnion people have been assassinated you see, and a rumor had been falsely spread by the senators that it was the Heron tribe that was responsible. Of course anyone who knew anything about them would know that the heron tribe are completely incapable of violence of any kind. Yet... blinded as the people of Begnion were at the loss of their apostle, they let their grief and rage consume them and burned the forest of the Serenes Herons to the ground.

There were only 2 survivors that were initially known of, the King Lorziah, and his son Reyson. Leanne was discovered a bit later in the forest itself, sealed away in a sort of stasis. But the Hawk Tribe took in Reyson and Lorziah and became pirates targeting Begnion ships exclusively, being quite brutal in their raids. They would not stop until the people of Begnion paid for their crime in full. It wasn't until roughly 5 years ago, around the time that Leanne was discovered that the new Apostle of Begnion apologized on behalf of her people to the heron tribe, begging on her knees for forgiveness.

Of course later an entire war broke out including a civil war in Begnion between the Apostle and the Senators. As it was discovered that the senators had been responsible for the assassination of the previous apostle, and blaming it on the Herons. The hawk tribe demanded that the senators answer for their crimes, and it was upon the death of their messenger that they knew they had to go to war.

... I think I may have gone a little off topic somewhere along the line...

Sky pirates? [More pinging.]

[More listening.] I see. Aye, I think I can understand why I'd remind you of the hawk tribe a bit. And if the rest of the herons were anything like Leanne, they were really were idiots. [Oh hey genocidal rampage of revenge? Yeah Marco is freakishly in favor of that.]

What happened after the war?

They were essentially like pirates without a ship, flying back home with whatever cargo they stole.

Well... before this war, the heron siblings Reyson and Leanne were able to sing the Galdr of rebirth, which brought the Serenes forest back to life. The forest wouldn't grow back after the fire you see, not until the herons sang to bring life back to the forest. The hawk tribe had suffered some harsh casualties during the war, as did the raven tribe, and so the bird tribes reunited as one, and currently live in the Serenes forest together now.

Of course during the war there had been all manner of chaos, including the goddess Ashera intervening, and my companions and I having to fight the goddess herself to save the world. The senators foolishly chose to work with Ashera, and they were killed as they truly deserved for their despicable crimes against our entire world.

They have my approval.

Ahh... understood. [Flicks his tail, thinking to himself.] So the goddess wanted the war and chaos or something else?
