When you become a shinobi, age stops mattering. The second you put on a ninja band you're a grown up. So if it's frienship, love, some fling, rivalry, a small age difference, a large age difference... you just take what you can get! Not really a cute way to look at it, but that's pretty much the mindset of everyone from our world.

Just ask 'em, Sasuke'll tell you the same thing; it's why when someone says he's a kid or a teenager, he corrects them saying he's an adult. Even those old teammates of his would agree, y'know?
