Have you considered writing a book? With all that spare time, I'd imagine you could write quite the novel given the drive to do so. Of course, in my case I had no pen or paper, so I was rather stuck. And you may not be the writing sort.

Writing was more of one of my friend's thing to do. Plus, finding material in this place is kind of a pain in the ass.
