2nd Song [Text]
Was that report needed? Especially at the end? Such information is not needed and especially to be described in that manner. How often does this happen?
Also, thank you all that came to my rescue. My injuries are healing and if there is a way that I can repay all of you for your kindness then please let me know. All that I can offer are my songs but I can try to find a way to properly repay you back.
Is my lord Brooke behaving himself?

Is my lord Brooke behaving himself?
So you are not from the same crew as him? I can try, my lord. You can call me just Leanne if you wish.
[She watches before just going to show him the area she was in and the tree she was currently perched in. A silent invitation for him to come if he chooses.] Oh? And who is this man and what is he like?
[She blinks before going to smile even more. The enslaved comment hitting a little close to home for her.] She sounds like someone I would love to meet and get to know. I would love to meet and speak with her one day.
[Video/text for speaking] --> Action
I'm from the Whitebeard Pirates. My father's crew.
Leanne it is then Princess. [Heads outside, and politely switches to hybrid form, though his replaces arms for wings, rather keeping both.] My Pops? I could go on about him forever. He was the strongest man in the world. Not just me saying that, it was widely acknowledged even by all his enemies. But he didn't want it to rule over countries or for power's sake, he just wanted a family and to protect them. That's why I loved him, and he said that was why he always had to stay so strong.
I wish you could. She died several years ago, along with another Fishman hero. Her husband was one of my father's best friends though.
[Video/text for speaking] --> Action
Whitebeard Pirates? [Okay, please excuse the small giggle. The name did sound a little funny to her.] It was probably a great crew to be a part of.
[She watches in awe as he changes. Can all phoenixes do that? Was it a special trait for that tribe? But as he describe Whitebeard, she smiles and half-closes her eyes.]
He sounds like a great man and one I would gladly lend my songs to. I didn't know that such beorcs exist anywhere.
[Though at the news about Otohime's death, she frowns.] I am sorry to hear that. They lost someone very special and gentle on that day. Your father is sounding more and more like a wonderful beorc.
Action
It's the best.
Songs? Maybe you have more in common with Haer'Dalis than I realized. He was like Brooke and also a bard. You would have definitely loved my Pops I'm sure. It's hard not to. He said any son or daughter of the sea could be a child of his. So my family is 1600 large now.
[Nods his head as he hops up to sit next to her, keeping the communicator to type things up though he repeats it with whistles as he goes.] Pops wanted to stop the slavery so he took over the island and put it under our protection so that anyone who wanted to mess with the island would have to go through us.
Queen Otohime's dream lives on though. She's got all of the fishmen people who remember her, her sons, her daughter... ahhh they must be so big now. I haven't see them in ages.
[When he says big he specifies he means size, not just age. Also, don't mind Marco's tail hanging off the branch here.]
Action
Yes, songs. No, we are not bards. My tribe were the only ones that could use galdr which we used by our songs. They are usually used for healing but can work just as well in battle. My forest was always filled with our songs and the forest would repeat our songs. [A small but more polite chuckle but she still uses the communicator to text to Marco.] That sounds like a rather large family, do you often have troubles remembering your families names?
[She doesn't mind Marco sitting next to her.]
Yes.... Your father for sure, would have been one of the few beorcs to gain the trust of all of the tribes. Both the bird and the beast tribes. In my world, beorcs always try to enslave us, my kind and my people and we will have no one to defend us. Those fishmen were very lucky indeed to have have such a beorc watching over them.
That makes my heart glad to hear. I wish even moreso now to have met her while she was alive.
Re: Action
Galdr... songs that heal? [Birdie head tilt trying to understand.] And the trees talk back??? [Surprised; but that might explain why their bird dialects were so different.]
[He shakes his head no about having trouble remembering their names.] Not if I've spoken to them. They're my family, so it's important, eh. I am a little closer to some of them than others, but I try to make sure I know all of them. My father was 72 and still knew all of them and all 50,000 of our allies, so 1600 seems a small thing.
He was human... but he was twenty feet tall, and he had the power of earthquakes capable of destroying the world. A lot of people called him a monster because of that, so he was an outcast as well. And among pirates he only wanted a family so some of them considered him too soft-hearted and weak, and lot of the others were jealous and wanted to kill him to surpass him. So in that sense, he was like me. Humans didn't consider him human, but monsters knew he was one of us, eh?
Can you all defend yourselves? Or each other at least?
Action
Yes, they can heal and my forest at least they can talk back.
[She giggles before she goes back to sending Marco more texts.] You must have loved them very much. As well as your father. He is rather young isn't he?
[No Leanne, humans don't have the long life as laguz. Though at Marco's description of Whitebeard, those green eyes widen.]
Are you sure that he was a Beorc then? Or is that a common height for beorcs? [Sounds waaaaay too big.] It's a same that he was treated like that, he still sounds like a wonderful man.
.... The beast tribes live in a different part of the world and the hawks and crows live away from my tribe's forest. My tribe... We cannot defend ourselves as we do not know how to fight no... We choose not to learn that. We were a peaceful tribe, only wishing to live in peace with the other tribes and perhaps beorcs as well. We had no ill will despite beorcs enslaving us and we were the most defenseless out of all of the tribes.
The beorcs wouldn't dare to try and hurt us whenever there was hawks around. The hawks were the only ones that would come to our aid whenever we needed them to.
Action -- sorry I'm so late!!! got sick
Aye, he was human. My brothers are all a lot taller than me too. Most of them are human, but I guess average human height is a little shorter than me? Even in my world. The admirals are all taller than me too though. [Thinking it over.] It's probably something in the water.
As for how he was treated... [A shrug.] He was able to accomplish a lot no matter what. He protected a lot of islands and even our enemies respected him. The whole world knew him to be the world's strongest and acknowledged that in their own way.
[His grip on the communicator tightens at her words and he has to take a much longer pause before typing more back in return.] I see. Some of the merfolk were a lot like that, even Fisher Tiger -- the Fishman hero pirate -- made it a goal not to kill any humans despite how much they fought.
Action -- It's all good! I am more late then you!
Your world seem to have many strange Beorcs within it. [She is now officially curious about it.
You should have even more pride in your father as even his enemies respect him. How can a Beorc be considered to be the strongest? [This is quite fascinating to the Heron Princess.]
[She blinks as she catches that and moves to try and cup him a little in a wing, trying to give him a comforting gesture.] It is in the past. I would have love to meet all of these 'merfolks' you keep telling me about.
Action -- We can just keep out-lating each other.
Aye, humans in my world are plenty strange and diverse. As for how he's the strongest... Humans are strong too usually. Being strong isn't just lifting weights or being immortal, there's a lot more to it. A lot.
Thank you. I'm sure they'd love to meet you too. Who knows, maybe you will here.
Action -- OF COURSE!
There is? Like what, my lord Marco?
You are welcome. [She keeps her wing cupping him.] I hope that I will, perhaps we will be able to find a way to live together here as well. We Laguz and the Beorcs. [Yes, she consider Marco as a Laguz.]
Action
Like everything. What you're protecting is very important because it gives you more reasons to do your best and never back down. And there's mental acuity, willpower, tenacity, presence. Strength is really multifaceted.
[Grins.] Thank you Princess, I hope so as well. [He appreciates that inclusion, so much more than he'll ever be able to explain.]
Action
He sounds like he would be a great king. Not only is he strong physically but also has great strength in other aspects.
[She returns the smile and lets out a slow sigh. This place, this world is already so much better now that there is another Laguz here. Even though he was raised by Beorcs.] No thanks is need, my lord.
Action
[A laugh.] He doesn't want to be a King. He helped King Neptune because they're friends, and he was sort of friends and rivals with Rogers, but he could have been the Pirate Kind anytime he wanted. He just didn't want it. All he wanted was a family, eh.
It might not be necessary, but I wish to say it anyway. It means a lot to me. There are only 4 other flying zoans like me in my world and we're too spread out to meet. And we'd probably hate each other even if we did. And if there are other phoenixes in my world, they've been in hiding for so long no one thinks they're real anymore.
Action
Well, he would be a great king, at least in the eyes of we Laguz. But even moreso he is a greater man in my eyes.
[She smiles and half-closes her eyes when he pours his heart a little to her, slowly moving her wing back into a resting position.]
I do not understand why you would hate each other but yet I do. Nonetheless, should we ever find a way back home, perhaps you can come to mine and live among us. I know that you would be accepted among our tribes and clans. Even not so I would vouch for you to be one of us.
Action
I'm sure he'd appreciate the latter more. He was a pirate emperor but that's not really like being a king.
[He hesitates, flicking his tail a little.] I really appreciate that, more than you can know. [He buys himself sometime to make up his mind by explaining the other part first.] We would fight because pirates are often enemies of each other, and those that aren't pirates would view me as a foe just for being a pirate.
In any case, I have to protect my adopted family back home. They need me. [As much as he needed them.] And I promised the one I love to find his world and him there. But I do greatly appreciate it. If it's possible, I'd like to make a stopover, just to see it.
Action
I will keep that in mind. Beorcs are so different then us.
[She sees that tail and really wants to touch it. It was like nothing that she has seen before. She blinks and smiles before frowning just a little.]
From what I have seen about pirates from both you and my lord Brooke... How would anyone other then other pirates view you as evil? [She doesn't understand. She closes her eyes briefly to let out a sigh, lifting a hand to dismiss her question and smiling once again.]
Your family is far more important then anything I can give you. [And here, she gets a wistful look.] I understand that feeling. [Being in love with someone.] I will pray that the both of you will be reunited.
[She moves a wing to touch his forehead with a tip.] It would be a great pleasure for you to do that. And you can bring your family too. [She has yet to know of the new hatred towards Beorcs that the other bird clans have.]
Action
[Oh gosh, don't pet his tail, he'll be so startled.]
[He laughs at the idea that they're evil or not though.]
I can only speak for myself, but my idea of morality is a little skewed from most of humanity.
Thank you, eh? I'll try my best. And hopefully you'll find your loved ones too.
