What can an archsage do?

A wizard? ... I suspect we can do many of the same things... normally. Ever since I came here... I've been unable to use my magic.

I cannot use magic either here. Has anyone spoken of chips to you?

Chips? No, I'm afraid not... usually I'm a specialist in lightning magic, but I found myself rather defenseless against the beasts here upon arrival.

I have been told that somewhere in our bodies they have put something called a 'chip' that restricts all out magical powers.

Is... is that what was done to us?!

I believe so. You may ask around to get it removed. Some people do offer.

Well... I think I'll certainly try... I feel rather helpless without my magic.

I-I'm not... I just arrived here... and I don't have anywhere in particular I'm staying. I'm still looking for a place to stay in Discedo for the time being.

I haven't been there yet. I am in Dissimulo.

I hadn't heard about Dissimulo... is it very similar to Discedo?

I couldn't say since I have not personally seen the city of Discedo but I think Dissimulo is a smaller place.

Oh... how long have you been in this world?

Many months... It may be coming up to six.

You... you've been here six months? That's an awfully long time... and you've never seen Discedo in that time... how far away is Dissimulo?

I have been told that it is many days' walk through dangerous country - or there is something called a subway.

I have been meaning to find it but things happen here. Distractions. Monsters. Strange events.

I've heard about some of these strange events, and have seen some of these monsters, so I can understand both of them being distractions.

I've never heard of a subway either.

I think it is some kind of locomotive but under the ground.

[A locomotive must be something like locomotion, and since it must be some kind of thing, and since locomotion is movement, and if it were a moving thing that might make it...]

So it's some form of transportation?

Yes. It's supposed to take much less time than walking.

Hmm... has anyone tried to tame any of the creatures here, to use them as mounts?
