I found Bread a better suitor because Jack doesn't deserve bread's affections. [For those who don't remember a certain post from the virus event, it is linked.]

It took a lot of hard searching and digging around since I'm sure he's very hard to replace. [Right. Okay then.]

But finally I have succeeded! [And Marco pulls back to reveal a loaf of bread and a stick of butter.] BEHOLD! A match made in heaven.

[So then using a butter knife he just puts butter all over that bread. Why not. And then he starts singing the wedding march. Afraid yet? You should be.]

Aren't they cute together?

[And then as he basks in the glow of a perfect romantic match; he opens his mouth up and eats them.] And now they'll be together forever.

I used to write to the master, back when I first arrived. I still have those letters. It helped me get comfortable with this world... that was before I returned home and served others. Still, there are times I feel like writing to Sensei. I wonder what she would say if she were here now.

Sometimes. People want the strong ones and as long as a devil fruit user lives, no one else can have that power. So some people want to kill them to take that place. Sometimes it's just lonely. My Pops was kind of like that, eh? He didn't fit in with most people, other pirates, his size was really out there and his devil fruit made him feared by anyone who wasn't brave enough to get close to know the real Edward Newgate.

That's why he adopted so many sons, eh? So we wouldn't be lonely either.

Thanks, eh? I think so long as I'm still a phoenix it might be easier. The tricks is getting people of Japan to know stories, but still think it's fiction... I think. Or at least legends? I'm not sure, I haven't been able to test it yet. But Tatsumi is a werepire and Japan still considers him a citizen, so there must be something that Kiku Honda can retain that his people might not remember.

It's helpful, eh? I don't know how to predict my father's responses either though. It's easy to say he'd want us to be happy and just survive, but I still want to do more than that.

Sadly, not in the literal sense. [See how he just acknowledges this?] The trolls come from a planet called Alternia. And there are still a few left here. It's probably best to ask one yourself, since I'm hardly an expert on them.

Perhaps I'll do just that. I love learning about other cultures and there's such a great opportunity for that in a place like this.

Just remember to stay open-minded. They're a different species after all.

My world doesn't really have a name. My home ocean is the Grand Line though, New World half.

An ocean? I can already think of a few things that you and Hong Kong must've talked about based on that.

Not much to tell, I'm sure pirates in your world are a lot more exciting, eh? [Such a liar.]

Now there's an interesting way to seek justice against them. [Lightly teasing deadpan.]

People of Japan know of stories and legends... but I don't think they actually believe those stories. There is a tradition I'm not able to celebrate with Flandre-chan due to what she and I are, but after the turn of the year, there is a tradition to chase demons out from your home so that good fortune can come. It works, in some cases, but I don't think that the humans truly believe in demons and others as if they exist in the way you and I do. Somehow Marco-san and I need to figure out a way to make enough people believe so Japan-san will see you... unless I have misunderstood what Marco-san has been telling me.

I wonder if there is a Spirit world where Marco-san is from. If there is, perhaps he can speak with his father once more. I believe Marco-san is strong enough to cross into that world still alive without any problems.

Ah- T-Thank you, Marco-san. I feel spoiled.

Marco-san has been here for a whole year? [He pauses to think.] I'll be here for about three years this coming May.

No that sounds right. Ah, I'm not sure how to do that without making it difficult for any real myths though. You mentioned phoenix feathers being an important ingredient, so people might try to hunt them if they thought they were real. Even dragons are nearly extinct in my world because they're hunted down whenever someone does find one.

Spirit-world? Ah... No... I don't think so. [Shields his eyes for a bit and switches to voice.] If there is, it's not someplace I can go anymore. Not without sacrificing what I am. So a goodbye for me... it's very permanent. Though... if there is one then I'm sure Thatch, Ace, and my Pops are all happy together. I guess it'd be selfish to want them back from that, eh?

[Then back to video, looking a little tired, but he grins.] Anytime little brother.

Jeez, 3 years? I guess that makes you the resident who's been here the longest now. [Now that Shinji's gone ;;]

In my world they are an important ingredient. Though, that same magic works in Japan as well, so perhaps it is something to worry about.

It's too bad Marco-san doesn't have a decoy of some sort. Just in case people come to hunt him. Though, Japan is such a large place, I'm sure Marco-san could outrun any hunters. The Master, Mistress,and I all have done so. Marco-san and I should be able to as well.

Ah... [Cube'sears droop as he feels a bit guilty bringing that up. He should have figured that with Marco being what he is, that a trip to the spirit world might be impossible.]

No, Marco-san isn't selfish to desire that. They know where they are and as long as you're not there, they should know you're alive. I believe they'd want the best for you. [he smiles] I have heard that Spirits tend to enjoy parties and it's a completely new world, so I'm sure they're making the best of it there together.

[Aw, his smile just widens and becomes more genuine at the little brother comment. His eyes may even be tearing up.]

Would Marco-san feel alright if I called him my brother as well?

[The smile fades a bit]

I- I haven't realized- I mean, I hadn't really been keeping track of who has been here that long. Though, I suppose with less people asking each year, I... I should have known.
