[China's sitting comfortably near his low table with a puzzled look on his face.]

Last night I had a very strange dream. I was dressed in a female Beijing Opera costume and I was singing and dancing. Maybe I drank too much at the Lantern Festival, or something, aru.

[He pauses to drink some of his green tea, which was sitting in a teacup on the low table.]

By the way, what's this I keep hearing about memories? Are you saying the dream I had was actually a memory? [Guess who hasn't had any experiences yet.]

[OOC: Hey man, this is China. Anyone is free to view memories ranging from his (lonely) childhood, to his dynasties, the wars, present day, and the Christmas he spent with Stocking here in Discedo (since that's the first and only real memory he's recalled of Discedo so far).]

All right. I got here in August. You were here already at that point— from 1937. You said you'd been here since June, so two months by the time I arrived.

[China brings the tea over, he had already poured it into two cups. He places them on the low table, one near Hong Kong and one by himself. He says nothing since he can't remember any of it at the moment, he continues listening quietly.]

You showed me around a little when I first got here— and gave me a sword, so I could take care of monsters if I needed to. [ He bows his head, saying thanks for the tea. ] I moved into an apartment by myself. Until Macau got here, I mean. We live in a new place now, with 熊猫.

A sword? May I see it?

Panda? Panda is here too? Where?

Sure thing. Panda's outside right now, but the sword's here. I'll get it. [ He wanders off briefly and then returns with the blade in its sheath, sliding it pommel first to China. ]

[He gives a nod of thanks before he takes the sword into his hands and carefully unsheathes it. He examines it carefully. It definitely wasn't made of the best steel like the ones they had back home, but it was strong enough to take a lot of beatings.]

Here. [He hands it back to Hong Kong after sheathing it once more.]

谢谢，老师. [ He bows his head again and accepts the sword, carefully setting it aside. ]

[He nods in return.]

Do you know when Panda will be back? [A little side conversation to hopefully break down some of the tension.]

Could be soon. It kinda depends on what he finds to eat. [ He glances toward the door. ]

Have you fed him apples? Because it doesn't look like there's any bamboo in this city. Perhaps we should try making the special dietary supplements we make for the ones back home in captivity.

I'm thinking about asking the scientists for some seeds. They won't grow in Discedo, but somewhere else, I think.

Maybe in Dissimulo? There's plenty of open space there.

Yes, we've had many interesting conversations. [And by interesting he means revealing, to the point where he was able to remember a few things.]

So... what is the next part of your side of the story?

Where was I? Oh yeah, when I got here and you gave me the sword. You left awhile after that, for a week, just like this last time.

And when I came back...?

You came back from 1967. I'm pretty sure you remembered everything about being here. Far as I could tell.

That's strange... If I could remember everything last time, why not now? [It was more of a question to himself rather than Hong Kong.]

[ He watches for a minute, not sure he should answer. ]

[He looks down.] I'm sorry for interrupting. Please continue.

Hey, it's no problem. I wanna make sure you have time to think about everything. Something might come back to you that way.

I won't mind at all, in fact, I was hoping this would come up during the conversation.

When I was speaking with Marco, I saw one of his memories and I was in it. In fact, I was dressed in the Beijing opera costume I mentioned earlier, so it really did happen then. That's not all, however. Marco and I were arguing. I said something about having washed my hands of Japan and Marco was telling me that family doesn't abandon family.

Marco told me before a few days before about me having disowned him when I was here last time. [He has to stop to take a drink. He suddenly wished that it was a stronger drink he was drinking. He needed one right now.]
