[If it were possible for a line of computer text to sound annoyed, it would be Soundwave who could do it. The text flashes for a moment, before clearing, what almost sounds like a rush of static over the airways cutting in.
Meanwhile, in Dissimulo at the conjuncture of King Street and Harmony lane, one would find a strange, towering, nine foot tall faceless metal... thing, holding the little device delicately between two long, spindly fingers as he crouched. The visor flickered faintly as the words appeared on the device… Seemed like he found a way around the little buttons.
And he didn’t appear happy. With the shoulders drawn up and the head lowered, he was the very image of annoyance, the free hand lightly tapping his fingers slowly against the ground. There was a click, the communicator switching over to vocal input.]
--sensors must be faulty!--
[An oily, enraged voice slithered out of the audio output, the shoulders hunching more.]
--Decepticon life signal—
[Just trying to find him a colleague out here. … Yeah it’s not going so well.]

Megatron would not be pleased in the slightest, and here he was without any way to contact him or get off the planet.
Fantastic.]

--Soundwave--
[May as well, for now. Being obstinate and disagreeable right now would not help him. Now, on to more pressing matters]
--powerless via some sort of chip--
[He was trying to do a system scan in order to find this harrying new factor, unable to locate it no matter what he did. Seriously?]
Re: [Video]
There was a click, and the text function sprang back into action.]
Species: Cybertronian
Define: Autonomous non-organic lifeform|
[There, that ought to be good enough for the... human with the interesting taste.]
--wouldn't mind knowing your name--
[Only because he doesn't have a recorded clip of an order for her name. Still, more flies with honey.]
Re: [Video/text]
I'm Little Washu, the greatest scientific genius in the universe~.
Right then. He'd have to file that one away.
There's a brief shake of his head, as he pauses and looks to the side for a moment, sizing up a building, it seemed.]
--greatest scientific genius in the universe--
[You'll have to forgive him, he worked with Starscream, he's used to big overinflated claims.]
Re: [video]
She raises an eyebrow at that. Washu knows when her claims are being questioned and just keeps on smiling.]
Yes~. How many cute little scientists do you know can build living spaceships?
Sad part is it wouldn't be too far off the markYeah that's right he doesn't think you're being entirely truthful here. That's a pretty big boast you just put out there. Soundwave knew a lot of pretty brilliant scientists, after all.
... Yeah he doesn't know any cute little scientists. They're all kind of huge and disagreeable and pointy. ... Living spaceship though, that was kind of interesting. Now they were getting into territory he'd like to hear more about.]
--build living spaceships--
[He focused on the communicator now, his head tilting slightly in interest. Do go on.]
Yes, living spaceships. One of my greatest creations happens to be the spaceship Ryo-Ohki and her pilot Ryoko.
Ryo-Ohki in her spaceship form is a crystalline structure with a controlling AI operating system which takes input from the connected pilot and translate it into movement whether it be propulsion, defensive or offensive maneuvering. She is capable of moving on her own and quite often does. Though her movements are smoother with the pilot.
However she has a second form as well. This form is a small cabbit. It saves on docking costs and is easier to hide. A pure stroke of genius really~. I have accomplished this by mixing the crystalline structures of her operating system with the DNA of the mass, giving her form and learning capabilities.
Essentially, she is a living, breathing ship that has the capability to learn as she grows.
and what in Primus's name was a cabbit? He wasn't getting any entries on that. But really, the last part was the least of his questions.
So... now you have his attention. He might be able to concede to the human, if this claim of a living ship were true, to being at the very least astoundingly clever.
The information recorded, he stored it away, giving a small nod of acknowledgment.]
--crystalline structures--
[For added inflection, the head tilted questioningly, the spy waiting patiently for any additional information.]
Re: [video: LOCKED]
Yes. The crystalline structures are a part of the central matrix which makes up the operating system of the entire unit. Think of them as..hm, home grown quartz crystals with computer programming. It really was quite the stroke of genius on my part.
Perhaps I can show her to you once I get her back from the scientists.
Home grown quartz. Hm... hopefully they were molecularly similar because he was sure Megatron would be interested in a living, learning, hopefully self maintaining and easier powered warship.
Computer programming would be the easy part in all of this, it was the everything else part that would be a pain.
There was a pause... and another nod. Yes, he'd appreciate this seeing thing, actually. Again, questioningly, he did bring up what he knew about quartz itself. And was it exactly alike as the natural mineral? If not... Well he'd like to know the differences. After flashing by a few frames stored about the mineral, he moved to a blank entry, waiting for more information.]
Re: [video: LOCKED]
Now enough about me~. I want to know more about you. For instance, where are you? I wouldn't mind getting a good look at you in person.
He wants to know.
The blank entry remained open for a moment as he considered what to do next.
...
The text function flicked back on.]

request: reason for data
[Not that he cared if she wanted to make weapons, he cared if she wanted to take him apart and never put him back together again, or worse, take him apart and put him back together again minus one personality and life giving spark. He had no intention of living out the rest of his life as a sparkless drone.]
Re: [video/text: LOCKED]
Simple, I want to know how you work in case you need maintenance. I happen to be one of the doctors in the city of Discedo and one of the only people capable of handling non organic lifeforms.
... Really, he should have expected this. Even with his sensors down, he should have gotten a return call on his commlink with the distress signal he'd put out. Some Decepticon should have answered, at least he still had that.
In any other case, he would have cut the transmission and gone towards stalking the rest of the town, but he had his future to consider. Soundwave wasn't an idiot, and proclaiming that he'd just never ever ever get hurt again was a stupid way of dealing with this issue. If he didn't have someone to preform maintenance on him, he'd be in for quite a few long, painful, drawn out deaths if something happened on this alien planet.
And he couldn't risk alienating the only person who apparently had the skill and tech savvy enough to put him back together without any problems.
...
The silence was prolonged as he weighed the pros and cons of the situation.
terms: accepted
incapable of sending location: location unknown
[Which mostly meant he just couldn't directly send coordinates, but he could do the next best thing. The visor flickered again, before the robot... vanished? No, the perspective had changed, seemed like he'd wirelessly linked with the communicator, and the visor was acting as a video now, sweeping over the area to a massive church, before moving to a sign.
'King Street']
Re: [video/text: LOCKED]
A few moments later, coupled with furious typing and she nodded.]
You're in one of the other cities.. Dissimulo. Which isn't a far walk and somewhere I've been before~. I can be there in a few seconds.
He was actually kind of hoping to hear it would take a few days, he would have liked some more time not being a pile of spare parts.
If Starscream was here, he'd be screeching into his visor about how stupid a choice that was. Too bad he didn't have one. Just another dull nod, before he halted all his movements, attempting to start up his scans once more.]
[ACTION]
From there, its just a moments walk into the Church. To be polite the petite red-head knocks before slipping in. And.. tilts her head up to get a good look at him.
"Hello~."
[ACTION]
She really didn't have to knock. She could have just come in, but he nudged the door open anyway, taking a few steps back from the door to allow her more room.
He wasn't... as big as he was supposed to be. He was still trying to wrap his processor around that. The faceless head tilted down to look at her, logging away the various physical details before merely nodding slowly in greeting.
The giant really didn't seem too pleased either way, more resigned than anything else.
Re: [ACTION]
Washu tilted her head slightly as she noted his own physical features before smiling again. "I think we're beyond introductions now please take a seat. This wont take very long."
With that she summoned a floating pillow literally out of nowhere and began typing away at a holographic computer. A few more screens appeared on either side of the main one displaying transparent readouts. Though the language displayed was a mixture of an alien language and scientific notation.
"Now this won't hurt a bit. I just need you to sit still and let me put this on your head." She summoned a little machine in the shape of a ball with large black eyes and a small mouth and feet. "It will help with the diagnostic. I just need to reprogram it slightly to read inorganic lifeforms, but that shouldn't take more than a few seconds."
[ACTION]
Yeah. Take a seat. The mech simply sunk to one knee, not really one for 'sitting'. His head lowered, unseen eyes flicking across the screen. ... Yeah, no. He couldn't decipher this... Yet, at least. Perhaps with all his blasted programs restored this wouldn't be an issue.
What the hell was that. Again he found himself lamenting his lack of scanners, forced to peer at the object blankly as if hoping it would reveal its full purpose to him. Washu's explanation was not helpful. There was marked hesitation, and the 'Con raised his head for a moment to peer at the door with consideration...
Before there was another hiss from the vents, and the 'Con lowered his head begrudgingly to her level. Sure she'd have to stand on her toes a bit, but he wasn't going to be that accommodating.
Re: [ACTION]
Immediately the eyes and mouth lit up and stated imitating him.. only with more facial expressions. More screens popped up around her computer and various schematics started to appear detailing his systems. Again the writing was in an alien language but to him they should be easily recognizable.
"Perfect... Your power source is remarkable. I can safely say I've never seen anything like it before."
[ACTION]
He continued to remain still as the screens showed up, though his head drew back at the image of his schematics. That was private. Well, at least they were alone in here. For once he was rather happy Starscream wasn't lurking around. He'd never hear the end of this.
Yes, he knew. Data about the spark began to pop up, though nothing seemed to get really detailed. After all, it was a bit more complicated than just mere schematics could reveal. ... He wasn't going to let her see more of it either. Sorry, Washu. That was more than just private, that was intimate. As more data appeared, he did rather withdraw a bit, his position becoming slightly more defensive.
