[You know normal people when things get them down drink, carouse, carry on, lock themselves in a tower and cry for ten years... Okay well maybe not "normal" but people other than Marco do that. Marco on the other hand, grabs a piece of chalk and makes a hopscotch set out in the middle of the most open non-plant infested piece of pavement he can find. And then of course he shows off, because when you can fly and do backflips like nothing, hopscotch is really easy.]

Oi oi, for the life of me I can't remember if there's a rhyme that goes with this, eh?

[Yes, completely showing off with a few backflips.] Anyway, someone want to come play with me?

Beats the hell out of me. Something here, eh? A bunch of people who went home from here before showed up too.

No wonder it's so crowded here. [He shivers a bit.] I hate being caught up in huge crowds, or being in closed and tight spaces.

Y-Yeah, since Baba's country has the largest population in the world.

S-Sure. [He stands up.]

[Leads him off to a rooftop! Yay. Hopefully he's not afraid of heights.]

Yeah, I heard that. It's not an island though, so are they spread out?

[Nope! Heights are good! He likes to fly, but he'll stay on the ground for now. His dao sword is safely attached to his belt.]

What is spread out? The people? Or the Asian countries?

The people. [YAY FLYING. Marco can agree on that being only the greatest thing ever.]

From my point, I haven't actually seen it yet, eh?

Ah, then yeah, they're spread out. Plus, there's still some places in the wild where you don't see humans, but places like the cities are definitely crowded.

You will, eventually, just as how Baba and Mama found each other again, though it was difficult in the beginning. [He looks down from the rooftop.]

I don't mind difficult. It's nice to know I've even got a good chance, eh?

So the three of you live in China or some place in between Heaven and Earth?

I think everyone's got a good chance. It just depends on whether they have the strength and will power to pull through to grasp that chance. [His Baba and Mama did.]

We travel around China, places in Mama's world like Daten City. I actually tried to fly to Heaven once 'cause I wanted to see what it was like, but they wouldn't let me in. [Puffing his cheeks out.]

Yeah, you have. But they didn't let me in because I wasn't allowed in there, they said that I wasn't ready. Whatever that means. [He's got a slightly good guess as to what they meant, though he pretends he doesn't.]

I'm pretty sure that means you'd have to die, and I'm not sure you want to leave your parents or life with everyone else that quickly, eh?

No, I don't think it's that... I mean, I am half angel and angels are alive.

[He rubs at one of his arms, avoiding eye contact with Marco at all costs. He shouldn't have brought this up...]

I don't know the whole story, only bits and pieces from when he's been in Discedo a few times. He was trapped as a person, even had to go visit hell, he's been upset with his father, the works.

When I say "die" I don't mean stop existing. But I do mean part of you would be no more.

[Putting all joking aside. This time the rubbing stops for good, but he continues to avoid eye contact.] Then I wonder if they mean my father's blood that runs through my veins.

You know... my mother and her sister were fallen angels too. That's why they had to collect all those Heaven Coins to atone.

I guessed as much. I'm quite certain no reasonable god would allow his angels to run around in an area where they could meet pirates such as myself, eh?

Maybe one day you'll choose one side over the other, but don't expect it to be soon. Besides, there's nothing wrong with taking your time right? That's the advantage to immortality or whatever near approximation we have.

Yeah... but, truth is, I'd rather not chose if I can help it. I said I wanted to see Heaven, not necessarily stay there. My mother, she gave up Heaven to be with Baba.

Exactly. I don't think it's the kind of place you can see just to visit though, eh?

In my experience such things tend to deal a bit more with absolutes.

[He stretches his arms, feeling less stressed out even though his true idea was never brought up. Well, actually, that's a good thing. Some things are just better left unsaid.]

Besides, I don't think I could handle all those rules for too long. I mean, of course my parents have rules for me to follow, but they don't have me on a leash.

It seems more fun down here, anyway. Though, Mama's told me they have everything in Heaven...
