Can't be tamed! // 4th Wall [Video &/or Action]
[You know normal people when things get them down drink, carouse, carry on, lock themselves in a tower and cry for ten years... Okay well maybe not "normal" but people other than Marco do that. Marco on the other hand, grabs a piece of chalk and makes a hopscotch set out in the middle of the most open non-plant infested piece of pavement he can find. And then of course he shows off, because when you can fly and do backflips like nothing, hopscotch is really easy.]
Oi oi, for the life of me I can't remember if there's a rhyme that goes with this, eh?
[Yes, completely showing off with a few backflips.] Anyway, someone want to come play with me?
[Feel free to mock him, yell at him for showing off, try to push him over... you know whatever.]

Cleo's... well, she's Cleo. Coincidentally, speaking of 1600, one of my best friends since, like, forever recently turned that many years! She's a vampire. I just thought that was a creeperiffic coincidence!
Really? Sounds ghoulishly cool! Whoever it is sure is lucky... [She smiles, but then looks thoughtful.] Say, if you go back, doesn't that mean you'll have to leave them behind...?
[Did you just pay her a compliment and using her slang? Oh, boy, she likes you already. She beams right back at him.] Hey, thanks!
Hehe, you definitely have a right to! Well, unless I get to count my pack as extended family. I don't mean to brag, but the wolf pack is massive. Are you a normie? Never met one as chill as you are. You didn't howl up a storm about me being a monster at all!
Whoa, that is a pretty incredible coincidence! 1600... not too many of that age around here. Except for some of the countries.
And aye. He went back first, but I'm going to find him again so neither of us have to be lonely.
You're welcome. I'm not honest often, but when I am, I like to make it worth it.
I'm a phoenix actually. Though one of my closest allies was a "monster." [Air-quotes.] Little Oars Jr. was about 300 feet tall. Pretty damn big, eh?
[1/2; video]
Countries? Never met a living country before... and considering where I go to school, that's no easy feat!
[That's sad to hear, but, she gives him an encouraging smile.] I'm sure you'll find him eventually! Bet he's itching to see you again too. I know I would, if I were lucky enough to have a somebody like you~!
You're a phoenix? Really? Oh, wow, I've never met one of those before either!
Woaaaah, that is huge!
[2/2; video]
[She blinks, cheeks colouring, her ears perking for a moment before going down as she looks embarassed.]
H-hey, is there anything to eat around here? I never got to have breakfast!
[She looks around.]
Living countries, yup. My boyfriend is one. Japan, if you know the place.
[Laughs and rubs the back of his neck.] Why thank you. I think I might be pretty one of a kind on the phoenix thing. If there are others, they're hard to find.
I'm not sure what you like for food, but I can probably help you catch something. Fish is pretty easy, but there are mad cows and ah other things...
[video; God, that icon's so cute. ;3;]
Japan, huh? My vampire friend Draculaura really loves the Gothic Lolita stuff they make over there!
What's your favourite thing about being one, if you've got a favourite, anyway?
Fish's good! Any kind of meat. Raw's just fine... hey, I think I caught the scent of something! [She sniffs eagerly at the air.] I could use some help with this place, so if you're sure you won't mind, try and keep up~!
Yeah? Gothic Lolita huh... I'm sure he'd be please to hear that.
Oh gosh... favorite thing about being a phoenix is just flying. No doubt about it. That's extra rare in my world. Only six devil fruit users in the whole world. Though I'm the only phoenix.
I think I can keep up, what with the flying and all. Try not to eat friends though, eh? No chocobos.
[Video; ^_^ ... wonder if it's night time. oxo Moonlight'd help her go faster!]
Yeah! And she's been collecting clothes for centuries, so it's gotta be something freaky fab to catch her eye!
Thought that might be it! Flying sounds awesome.
Alright, but you better hurry up and tell me what a chocobo is or I might catch one! Haven't got wings for flying, but these paws sure can hustle!
Flying is awesome.
A chocobo is a big yellow bird. What kind of thing are you smelling?
[Judging by the odd view he's getting of just her nose poking over the bottom of the screen and of course that thick hair, it seems like she's decided to carry the communicator in her teeth.
All she needs is to run out to where the moon's light can shine more fully on her and she'll start running so fast, the video blurs before showing nothing but gloomy streaks of grey and the occasional flashes of night sky smeared with the green of treetops when she leaps over rubble or other obstacles in her path, although she moves too quickly for the camera to focus on anything to be certain of what it's recording.]
Smells like a pig! And unless pigs here are yellow and have wings, I'm guessing that's what I'm gonna have!
... wait, I think I smell rabbit too. [She stops when she lands, claws latching onto the side of a tree.] It's coming from the same direction too! [Somebody's still unfamiliar with the weird mix-and-match critters that live here, apparently.]
[Just keeps hanging on, watching her in action.]
Okay, yeah those are fine. Have at, eh.
Heh, thanks for the compliment! [Another leap to the side.] But I'm fickle—
[She lands close to the ground, then everything's a blur again as she races straight ahead.] I don't do well in classes—
[She suddenly veers off from her path to hide behind a tree.]
Unless I think they're worth it.
[She stops talking and goes very still and quiet, hiding in the shade provided by a tree, judging by the view. She steals a glance around it, then runs quickly to secure her prey, which barely manages a surprised squeal before her claws pierce it. Didn't seem like she had much trouble!]
Eh, hunting's kind of a messy way to start a day, but hey. A wolf's gotta eat. [Rather casual, that tone. She bends down to drop the communicator beside her, to avoid dirtying it with her hands.]
You don't have a problem with blood, do you? Just making sure. I got a friend who faints at the mention of it.
And as for classes, I never went to school, but it sounds more like a self-discipline thing, so I wouldn't worry about it too much, eh.
Yikes, some curse...
How'd you wind up cursed? Is there any way to break it?
And really, you never went to school? What'd you do instead of going to school? If you don't mind sharing, that is.
I was a pirate, so I taught myself a lot of things like bookkeeping, money laundering, things like that. I still can't steer the ships for shit, but it's just as well because navigating under the ocean is nothing like flying. Unfortunately. Seriously though, don't ever let them tell you currents are the same, it's a lie.
That's pretty interesting... never knew so much about a phoenix before! Hey, it's cool. I wonder if that's why my vampire friend doesn't drink blood... I'd ask her, but there's the whole "fainting when she hears the word 'blood'" thing in the way.
Got it!
... say, do all pigs here have bunny ears Or did I just eat a runaway specimen from somebody's biteology class?
So, where can I find you? I could use better company than leftovers.
And the animals around here are just pretty bizarre in general. If you go further out you'll find more dangerous and crazy things.
Here I'll send you Japan's Map Program, just look for the one the building that says Northern Lights on it, eh?
[1/2; video/action]
Heh, sounds like my school, especially the catacombs! They're filled with dangerous things, so it's hard to move around there quickly unless you've got a guide who really knows the place. There's so many traps too!
Creeperiffic, thanks! [And she'll be ending the video feed once she receives the file.]
[2/2; action]
[action]
[Opens the door right up and leads her in.] Nice to meet you, eh? I'm Marco. [Offers a handshake.] Make yourself comfy.
So tell me about these catacombs?
[action]
[And she'll reach out, careful not to scratch him, and shake his hand.]
Yikes, where do I even start? There's gargoyles, tentacles that tend to roam around the weird bubbling pools and grab passing monsters at random, but those tend to pop out everywhere, so they're not a catacomb-only deal— ooh, better be careful around some of the statues, some of them have awful people trapped inside of 'em. There's also the Cauldron of Eternal Body Odor... guess what falling in that thing does?
There's a whole bunch of rivers and there are some plants that grow down there that can be used as medicinal herbs, which is... kinda really inconvenient. Wonder whose bright idea that was. Maybe they need to grow somewhere really dark... beats me.
I'm no expert on the catacombs. That'd be Operetta. I don't stick one claw down there without a good reason!
[action]
Maybe the plants can only grow surrounded by all the other weird things? Some plants are like that, eh.
What does Operetta do? Also, what would like to drink, if anything.
[action]
I'm no gardening expert, but I guess that makes sense.
Operetta's another student, she's kind of new at Monster High, so I don't know her too well, but she spends a lot of time in the catacombs. She knows it like the back of her paw— uh, hand!
Ooh, you don't have to get me anything! [She smiles.]
You know, I talked a lot about my school and friends, but you didn't get to talk much at all! It's your turn. I wanna get to know my first phoenix friend a little better!
[action]
Huh, interesting. This school of yours really sounds fascinating.
[He grins back with a small chuckle.] Hah if you get me going about my family I'll never quit. We were all united by my Pops, who's our captain. Big tall guy, about twenty feet tall or so. And he causes earthquakes. He's a pirate emperor -- one of 4, and he was the only man to tie in a fight with the Pirate King, so he's pretty famous as the strongest man in the world, so he's had a lot of assassination attempts on his head.
Most pirates wanted to make it to the end of the Grand Line; it's only ever been done once before by Gol D. Roger, the pirate king. Now they're all chasing after his treasure One Piece. But I love my Pops because he never had any interest in that. His dream was to have a big family so he collected us sons and used his reputation as the strongest man in the world to protect the islands of his friends.
