Well then, to anyone receiving this message, I am Lance of the Indigo League Elite Four. I woke up here finding myself with two thirds of my pokemon missing, and this device which I assume was left here by whoever is responsible. Whoever has done this, know that I will not tolerate any theft, and I especially do not appreciate being kidnapped here for whatever nefarious purpose.

If anyone knows anything about these thieves and kidnappers, I would appreciate answers so that I may teach them the true meaning of justice. I do not know where I am, or what has been done here, but I intent to find out.

[He nods solemnly at the device before turning off the device, apparently having managed to figure out how it works to a degree.]

You're going to teach them justice? And just how do you intend to do that?

I take it case by case, but in the case of stolen pokemon, I would let them know the wrath of my own dragons.

All right, more questions for you. What's a pokemon, and how do you have dragons?

[Lance fumbles with his communicator for a few moments before finding the video function.]

This is a pokemon and one of my dragons. [He pats his Dragonite on the shoulder.] They are creatures from my world that many people capture and train to battle other pokemon, and protect themselves from being attacked by wild ones. Most of the time they are highly intelligent, some like my Dragonite even rivaling the intelligence of many humans.

I have spent my entire life training dragon pokemon, and to have my companions stolen from me is a crime I shall not tolerate. In the wrong hands they could be quite dangerous.

I see. But they left you that one. Sounds more likely they couldn't arrange for the others to make the trip.

Hmm... I had not considered that possibility...

Now that you say it, it does sound a little more logical too... if they had the ability to steal my pokemon, why not steal all of them? However if they're trying to summon people through time and space... that's another matter.

A commendable cause indeed. Then I'd suppose that the Chaos, Death, and Anguish of this place offends you almost as much as it does me.

As much as anywhere else, yes.

As much as anywhere else? I truly pity the world you come from Vice Admiral, if this place's problems are commonplace to you.

So far it's been a lot milder than what I was seeing in the New World. And that's not something to pity, it's just the way it is.

It shouldn't have to be this way though. Perhaps I've merely been misinformed on the severity of the problems here... However with such a small community, I would think that being able to keep people safe would be an easier task.

If everyone stuck to the cities, perhaps. But plenty of people would prefer to face or even seek out dangers. True safety isn't a reality.

I see... so much of the danger people face is brought on by the fact that they do not feel like sticking together, or uniting for a single cause?

It's more like, a good portion of the dangers could be averted by that.

I think I can certainly approve of that sort of behavior.

Correct. Lessons can't be forced on people, so it's better if they learn for themselves.
