[ Hong Kong is trying not to think of the potential consequences either way, for a number of reasons. The primary one being that he wasn't exactly thrilled about the events that happened right before China left. And, as he's wont to do, he kept his mouth shut on that particular issue (it could be said that he does have a sort of bizarre sense of discretion sometimes), therefore leaving him at something of a loss as to how he ought to proceed now.
