[A pair of shrewd green eyes shows up blinking on the screen. The camera pulls back; England is lowering the device examining it--and apparently isn't aware it's recording yet because he's caught mid-sentence:]--the damn thing anyway. "Use this"... Can't even cast a spell, no need to be cheeky.

Of all the ways to pull a prank, this one's got to be the most moronic. [He knits his brows in concern as his footsteps crunch over the ground. He's searching, looking for anything familiar. A prank was one thing, having his magic become null was another. But, strangest of all was the empty sensation at the back of his mind.

England chews the side of his mouth in thought.] That's odd... [He stops abruptly, head snapping up. He fixates on a building, the camera angle low, peering up so it leaves his head and shoulders in clear view. A prank was his first thought and he'll hold onto that until he knows better, but... God, he'd prefer this landscape over the emptiness that's crawling over his mind and he'll be damned if he stands there and simply accepts it for what it is.

He shakes his head.] H-hah, nothing--nothing to worry about I'm sure, I--

[And then he notices the communicator's screen properly and he leans in.]

Is-- Was this thing recording?! How long-- Agh! There's nothing to see here--! If anybody can see or hear this broadcast, and I feel such a fool for thinking anything of it, I demand an explanation for this nonsense at once!

[And with that, he shuts off the device.]

Well, you've been brought here by scientists for reasons unknown. They say it's to rebuild this place but their actions say otherwise. There's three cities that people have been living: Discedo the main city, Dissimulo out in the country, and Spero by the lake but I don't think people have been staying there as of late.

Also, the scientists put a chip in your body somewhere that stops any powers you have. A doctor can take them out but I've heard that there's something that appears on the communicators late at night about it.

[mulling all of this over. He'll compare it to everything else the others have said and... It's not that this is too much, or outside his sphere of knowledge, but... Still. Needless to say it's a lot to take in at once.]

... I see. What about shelter? Food? --And what exactly appears late at night? I assume these chips allow individuals who carry them to be tracked, is that correct?

There's apartments and we do get dried food stuff every month. Some of the monsters around here are actually edible so it's not bad.

All I know is that a message shows up and people vanish for a bit. It happened to a friend of mine. Even if you get it out, it can come with side effects. Cube-san and Harper-san are the doctors here if you want to know more about it.

[Yes, and she is referring to that grump Owen Harper.]

Right, I see. Cube and Harper. [Nodding to himself.] Survival and knuckling down then, standard procedure. Still refuse to accept it though, but what's done is done if this isn't a dream.

[Yeah, Owen's a bad influence on nice girls.]

Sort of gathered that by now, dear. [he runs a hand through his hair, peering around. This is a little dreary even for him.]
