[ Voice ] How puzzling

Two men walk in opposite directions...Ah, no, no that won't do. Perhaps I should do something with numbers? Oh, but...I'm no good with numbers, am I...[ She sighs. She'd been trying to do some puzzles, to take her mind off of things, but...well, it wasn't working. ]

Drat, I've no good ideas at all!

[ There's some shuffling, and a long period of silence until she picks up her communicator, failing to notice she had already turned on accidentally. ]

Hm...well, the last week has been quite strange. Magic powers and all that? Definitely peculiar. it seems like it would have been interesting, in a way. [ A laugh. ] Though I imagine it did more ill than it did good. I would be lying if I said I was glad I missed out, though...

[ ... ]

Ah, but that wasn't what I wanted to talk about. Actually, I'm having a problem of sorts. You see, I'm trying to come up with a puzzle--as a way to pass the time--but I'm all out of good ideas! It's simply dreadful! So, I was wondering...does anyone know how to find one's inspiration again? Really, I would appreciate the help.

Oh, and....has anyone seen Clive? I haven't seen him around, and it's a bit...well...[ Unnerving. Not that she'd say as much. ]

[ She is just going to sit down somewhere. And bury her face in her hands forever. ]

[ A strained laugh. ] I don't know, I suppose I'm used to people not returning once they've left you.

And...well, the conversation you had with him. I imagine it's the same as the one you...you wanted me to have with him the other night? I mean, if that's the case, then he would have up and left me anyhow. Which isn't much a surprise, I'm not all that interesting. There are plenty of other nice girls round this city, and I'm. Well, I still don't even know how to act properly most of the time, you know? So this was only a matter of time...Hah, I was fooling myself, thinking everyone would stay and every...everything would be alright. Just look--The Professors left, and Luke's gone too, you know. I didn't say anything about it before but---well, it was only a matter of time before Clive left too--Thankfully he's not gone from this world, but...

Ah--s-sorry, I didn't mean to...to prattle on...[ Her hands are still covering her eyes, though instead of from distress, it's to hide the fact she's started to cry. People leaving is something she's...not all that great at dealing with. ]

In any case, it was bound to happen. Especially since...the conversation would have resulted in the same thing happening, whether it was really me or not.

[ Crying... He knows she is, whether she's trying to hide it or not. Sasuke thinks to look away or simply to give her a few minutes to get it together but neither seem appropriate. This isn't his strength... Dealing with people in general isn't his strength; he's certainly learned that over the past few days. Still he steps closer, a little unsure and mechanical as he places one hand on her shoulder. ]

I think you're wrong about that. There were several misunderstandings, several things that angered him because I didn't know enough. You would have. I'll... get him to understand for you.

[ She doesn't believe you, Sasuke, but she's got nothing else, really. ]

...I hope you're able to. Because I doubt I'd be able to change his mind.

... I think I understand him, a little. He has his own problems too. I don't think it is all your fault.

You said that people leave you. Luke, your professor, now Clive. You shouldn't feel that is because of you, always.

Sometimes we have to leave people that we care about... [ This is an extremely uncomfortable topic but Flora seems like she could use some encouragement. ]

Having reason to...to leave doesn't make it any easier to accept.

[ Well, he'd tried. Why is he so bad at this...? ]

[ It might have worked, if she hadn't had so many people leave her throughput her life orz ]

I'm not sure. There are any number of places he could have run off to--[ Thinking, thinking... ]--perhaps near where they film the Differo Report?

We both can do that too. [ Maybe he should lie. Describe an emergency type situation. After all, he'd already lied once. ]

Mm...no, I haven't. Not yet. Though it's probably a good idea...[ She shakes her head. ] Should we start...looking, then?

Ah. [ Though a part of him thinks that Clive will only be found when he wants to be. ]

He probably isn't too far yet. [ Hopefully. ]

[ She has a feeling that's the case, as well, but...they can't just not try. ]

Right. We should hurry, then.

[ Already he's going to the bed to pick up his communicator again. ]

Give him a message first. After that, anyone you think might know something.

Alright. I asked over the network, but...it doesn't seem anyone's seen him.

[ She pulls out her own communicator, sending Clive a quick text as she does so. ]

[ Sasuke briefly considers the possibility of something happening to Clive. After all, Fortuna isn't the safest of places. But he can take care of himself, surely... ]

We can search on foot too.

[ Flora's not really worried about that. Mostly because she tends to forget just how dangerous Fortuna can be.

She nods, headed for the door. ]

We should probably head for the subway first--I just hope we haven't missed the train.

[ Sasuke's right there with her, finishing up his own message before following her out of the room. He retrieves his jacket and shoes near the entrance, looking to her then. ]

We'll find him. This... is my fault and I'll fix it.

[ She shakes her head, eye's downcast as she grabs her things and pulls on her shoes. He may notice an odd shift in her demeanor--Her usual bright, cheerful and energetic nature has been replaced by something much more reserved--Her voice soft, polite. Her posture perfectly rigid, like that of a young rich girl with no say in her own life.

She doesn't really even seem sad or worried, anymore--There's just a blank sort of expression, as equally polite as her posture, though it's hiding a quiet determination,and masking her uncertainty.

She continues, opening the door. ]

We'll find him, and we'll do what we can to fix this--Together.

[ Sasuke watches her silently, making wordless observations of her change in bearing. He thinks back to her tears, how quickly she'd been rushed through them and through her own self-doubts for the purpose of action. Normally it's not something he'd notice. He'd probably been with them too long now. ]

Mm. It's good that you are coming, but if you want to stay...
