[The video clicks on. Eric looks slightly disheveled. He looks around skittishly, and a small noise in the background, possibly just the house settling, makes him jump significantly.

A small, all-black cat wanders into the frame, purrs, and nudges Eric's elbow affectionately. It gazes up at him, love beaming in its bright yellow eyes. He blinks down on it, slightly bewildered.]

O-okay... uh... Something is going on here. This cat showed up a few days ago. I think it likes me. Does anyone own it? You can have it back if it's yours. [The cat continues to purr worshipfuly.]

And also... I keep... finding myself places. I think I'm put for now. But, I keep... moving.

Is anyone else having problems?

Define "problems." [ He says while literally talking around a mouthful of fire. It leaks out from between his teeth and once he closes his mouth, smoke comes out his nostrils. ]

Yeah. [ A beat. ] Cute cat, too.

[He sees the fire, of course he forgets his own problem.]

Oh my Gods, are you all right?

[ Waving a hand. ]

It's fine. Doesn't hurt or anything. It's just super weird.

As long as you're all right... [But he still looks a little uncomfortable at the sight.]

I keep... moving around. I think about places and I'm there. It takes a lot of concentration to avoid it.

The cat just... showed up.

Yeah, I know it's weird, but it doesn't burn anything.

Anyway, everyone's got all this weird stuff happening to them. Maybe the cat's a person transformed into an animal.

No... I would know. It's got a cat's soul. [He scratches the ears, the cat just looks blissful.]

What kind of stuff is happening?

That's kinda useful. [ Cocking his head to one side. ]

All kinda weird powers, mostly. Like the fire.

Do you have any information on it? What's causing it or...

As far as I know, it's just more weirdness here.

It doesn't set other stuff on fire. [ He demonstrates by breathing directly on the comm, which gets smoky, but as soon as he wipes it away, it's fine. ] See?

[He blinks as the flames hits, then shakes his head.]

Ok... that's almost as weird as jumping around. It really doesn't burn? Is it hot?

[ Hong Kong kind of shrugs and kind of shakes his head at the same time. ] It's a little warm, but not hot. Just as warm as it is if you breathe on your hand without the fire part.

That's... interesting actually. Do you uh... want to meet for a drink or something so I can... well... see it? I'll buy.

You... can drink with that, can't you?

As far as I know. I guess if I can't, we're gonna find out together, aren't we?

[ As long as that doesn't, you know, discourage him from asking.... ]

The cat had been here for a few days before this started. And, it has a cat's soul so... I think it's all right.

[The animal walks in front of him, lifting it's butt and rubbing it's tail in Eric's face, all the while purring adoringly.

He wrinkles his nose and pushes it away.]

Interesting ability. How did you come by a skill like that?

Humans can't do it. You can't learn it.

It's not unlike when my chip was removed and I couldn't control anything.

Not that I've heard. I too have regained some of my abilities; I want to know how long it will stay this way.

As for me, I can't wait for things to go back to normal.

I haven't attempted to test all of them.

Perhaps you may feel that way, not being in control of your powers, but I'd prefer to hold onto mine.
