[The video clicks on at an odd angle, first catching a flash of feet (or rather legs disappearing in the floodwaters) as it tilts upward, past a leather clad torso and finally unsteadily framing a rather damp, rather irritated looking woman. On closer inspection, she almost looks--tired.]

I seem to have arrived at a rather unfortunate time. I don't suppose there's anyone willing to direct me somewhere dry.

Well, there's never really a good time to arrive here, that's for sure.

You sound as though you've been here a while.

It's almost been a year and a half now, give or take a few months at most. Yeah, I'd consider that 'a while'.

I suppose there's little chance of finding a way out of here, then.

... Don't worry. Plenty of people have already come here and left in all this time I've been here.

So there's a way out, but I'm just unlucky in that regard. There's only few people here who have been here as long as me.

Not as far as I know. [ shrug. ]

Someone would've told the rest of us how to get out of here if they found an exit, right? Yet nobody did. The scientists are probably the ones sending us back and forward.

Toying with us. [It was quieter, mostly for her own benefit.]

There's no guarantee they've went home. Perhaps remaining here is the lesser evil.

... They sent me back home. Just once. So it's possible.

But that was only for a few hours, yet when I returned to this place months had passed.

It would make sense that time passes differently within these cities, allowing them to take us without raising alarms.

Yeah, no time passes at home while we're stuck here, if my case is any indication. When I returned back home, it was as if I never left to begin with. Nobody had noticed a thing.

I'm far past the point of questioning how exactly they're doing it. I've seen too many strange things for that by now.

All I want is for them to finally let us go home already.

[She's seen more than a few strange things in her life, and she intends to treat this one no differently. It's simply another puzzle for her to figure out.]

They've likely brought us here for a reason. Some sort of experiment, perhaps. I imagine when we're no longer of use to them, we'll be allowed to leave.

They have weird standards then as to who they keep around for a long time and who they let go after only a little bit.

Perhaps they're hoping to find something specific.

I wonder what exactly it could even be that they're looking for then.

It's possible they're not entirely certain themselves. Or perhaps we've simply been brought here to provide them amusement.

Now that last thing is something that wouldn't surprise me. It's happened to me enough by now, I'm just too popular.

It would explain the games they play, the strange weather patterns.

The dinosaurs, the ghosts, the weird dark spaces.. [ just summing up things that happened over time. ]

It seems I'm in for an interesting time.
