Two men walk in opposite directions...Ah, no, no that won't do. Perhaps I should do something with numbers? Oh, but...I'm no good with numbers, am I...[ She sighs. She'd been trying to do some puzzles, to take her mind off of things, but...well, it wasn't working. ]

Drat, I've no good ideas at all!

[ There's some shuffling, and a long period of silence until she picks up her communicator, failing to notice she had already turned on accidentally. ]

Hm...well, the last week has been quite strange. Magic powers and all that? Definitely peculiar.  it seems like it would have been interesting, in a way. [ A laugh. ] Though I imagine it did more ill than it did good. I would be lying if I said I was glad I missed out, though...

[ ... ]

Ah, but that wasn't what I wanted to talk about. Actually, I'm having a problem of sorts. You see, I'm trying to come up with a puzzle--as a way to pass the time--but I'm all out of good ideas! It's simply dreadful! So, I was wondering...does anyone know how to find one's inspiration again? Really, I would appreciate the help.




Oh, and....has anyone seen Clive? I haven't seen him around, and it's a bit...well...[ Unnerving. Not that she'd say as much. ]

Maybe it's for the best if you miss out on that kind of stuff like with the magic, I mean.. the kind of stuff they do to us usually isn't very good, right?

[ he laughs - slightly awkwardly. ]

Oh, I know. It just seems like having a bit of magic--even if it's just for a short time--could be fun.

Yeah, in a way it must be cool, huh..?

What kind of magic would you like to have for a little while in that case?

Well, it's not like there's much else to do round here.

Maybe you could go walk around? I mean, I know it's not safe, but if there's a place that doesn't have that many monsters around it could be kinda interesting! [ there's not too much to do in the disco ]

Oh, I suppose that could work! I'm not all that worried about it being dangerous, anyway. I've learned how to defend myself, since coming here. [ Not that she's the best fighter around, but you know. She gets by. ]

That's good! It sucks for everyone who doesn't, probably. [ Jack gets by with a baseball bat. Or just some wood. Doesn't matter. ]

He was around for the Differo Report a couple weeks ago, but I haven't really seen him since then, if that helps.

It was... really strange, to say the least, but I did manage to benefit from it just a bit. [She was able to summon her bow back for one AWW YEAAAH.]

Hm, well, what kind of puzzle are you trying to make?

I see! Well, I'm glad you were able to benefit in some way. [ Because it seems to have caused a ruckus in Flora's life. WHOOPS. ]

Well...I'm not sure just yet! I wanted to do a riddle of sorts, having to do with the distance two individuals walk in a set time, but...well, I'm fresh out of ideas. [ And she's actually pretty terrible at puzzles, but. ]

Kind of a shame! He's good with puzzles, isn't he?

Oh, yes. He's much better at puzzles than I am. Though, I was hoping to give him this one, you know?

So she smiles, knowing that Flora must realize the same thing. Visiting a friend seems unlikely—she imagines he’d be rather open with Flora about that? But there must be another explanation.
