[It has been a few days since things have settled back into relative quiet, leaving behind only memories of those she has so recently encountered. Memories of having her daughter back. After the latest Spectavi broadcast, she's certain this has been simply another cruel trick of their overseers. Her message is simple, quiet; she doesn't have much else to say.]

Perhaps their goal truly is to torture us.

[Turning off the recording, she slips the communicator into her pocket, heading for the door. Perhaps a walk is in order.]

W-well, some people stay here for only about that long... Maybe you'll be going home soon?

Unfortunately, that wouldn't change this loss.

W-what do you mean? [Did something happen to her? Did a friend here die...?]

My daughter. She was here.

But...isn't that a good thing? Are the two of you...not on good terms?

She's gone now.

[Awkward...] OH! ...I'm so sorry to hear that...

Do you...not get to see your daughter when you're at home...?

No. Not anymore. [A pause.] She's gone.

So seeing her here was...

Difficult.

I was able to see her again. [She sighs.] It's as much as I could ask for.

It hurts to be so...close to something, right?

What hurts is having it torn away from you. [Then quieter.] Over and over again.

[She knows the feeling] I'm sorry...

[A small nod.]
