[ The feed starts, showing someone's shoes, and a small, bright red ferret blinking up. The view quickly changes as Bolin ditches the communicator in favor of his friend, finally coming into view, addressing--yes, that's right, the ferret. He's talking to the ferret. ]

Pabu! Oh, you have no idea how good it is to see you, buddy. Do you know if Mako's around? I can't find--

[ He's interrupted by the sound of trash cans falling over. He turns quickly, coming face-to-face with one of the larger local monsters. And boy does it look happy to see him, jaws wide and claws ready. Bolin doesn't seem concerned as he shifts into a stance, raising an arm up to punch at the air, towards the monster.

Nothing happens.

Bolin stands there shocked, no--horrified, as the monster's teeth sink into his arm.

What happened to his bending?

The pain seems to snap him back to reality, and he shoves the monster off, turning to run. Pabu, bless his soul, nabs the communicator and scampers after Bolin--climbing onto his shoulder once he catches up. The feed is bumpy for a while, little paws on the screen with a lovely picture of the sky.

Once he's lost the monster he stops, crouching low behind some rubble to catch his breath. ]

[Be lucky she's carrying a make shift first aid kit with her so she can try cleaning up the wound right there so it would be easier to fully patch it up at the hospital.

But you'll see a purple haired woman run closer with said kit and an iron rod in tow.]

[ He hears her approach and looks out from his make-shift hiding place. Human. Good, she's...yeah, she should be okay.

So he stands, still cradling his arm. Though he doesn't move towards her just yet. ]

Hey you're...the voice I hear earlier, right?

I am.

[And she notices his arm, holding out her hand.]

Let me take a look.

[ She seems alright, so he holds out his arm for her to inspect.

Yeahh it's not pretty. ]

[Ouch...that was definitely a very stupid move to do back there. And that clothing wasn't going to do anything to help matters. Normally, asking is the way to go but since it was a hinderence, Sora decided screw it and latched her fingers around the torn areas.]

Sorry but this has to go.

[And she rips off the fabric to get a better look at the wound...yikes, that monster did damage enough to be taken to the hospital. Without much further, Sora started getting it cleaned up and bandaged.]

I'll be only getting it cleaned for now but it looks like you need it stitched up.

Hey-- [ He flinches slightly, when she tears his sleeve, and looks slightly uncomfortable as she tends to the wound. Yeah, he's never been injured quite this badly before, so...new, horrible experiences abound. He would complain about the sleeve, but really, that's not all that important at the moment.

A small frown at needing to be 'stitched up'. ]

I'll be okay, right?

You should be. Whatever attacked you got you good but it's not everlasting damage.

[...]

The hospital is not too far from here, I can finish it there. It'll be better for you to stay close to me until then.

Really? That's great! I mean, it's not good that this happened, but I'm glad it's not going to be permanent or anything like that.

And yeah, I'll be sure to stay close. Don't really...want to get lost around here.

[She nods and checks the streets, seeing no monsters.]

Looks like we're good to go. Come on.

[And she starts jogging out of there, hoping the boy follows.]

Yeah, I'm right behind you.

[ And he stays close, following her and looking around at the city as he does so. Man, this place is a wreck. ]

[At least he came when no bombs hit; that was kind of brutal for a bit.

With a careful eye and rod in her other hand, Sora led the bender and his cute little ferret buddy back to the hospital while running into no other monsters. The apprentice then took both of them to an examining room and she started to get things ready to stitch up that nasty wound.]

[ He just watches her work, with a mixture of curiosity and nervousness. Yeah, really not sure what to think or expect, so he's expecting the worst. ]

[Unless he really hates needles, then there's nothing to worry about. She'll be removing those bandages and sewing up that wound now. It doesn't take long; thank Owen for her being able to do it. And she puts on more clean wrapping.]

Alright, you should be good now. Just be careful while using that arm and don't do anything that could break the stitches.

[ No, he'll just look away while she sews him up, grimacing from time to time, but otherwise a-ok. ]

Hey, no need to worry about that. I plan on...you know, laying low until I figure everything out.

Yeah, the scientists put a chip in everyone who comes here. But doctors know how to get them out if they know where they are.

Really? Oh, that's great! So I'll be able to get it out, right? As long as I can find a doctor? [ His bending isn't gone for good this is the greatest news ever. ]

Pretty much but I'd be careful. People get sick for a good week after it comes out and not like the typical kind.
