[seventh fragrance] video/action
[ The feed opens to Hong Kong sitting on his favorite tree stump (it's not smiling, but you can imagine it might be, if it had a face). ]
Yo, Fortuna. [ He raises a hand in greeting. ] So I got a really great Christmas present and I promised Marco I'd show off what it can do. This is called 陽春白雪, or "White Snow in the Spring Sunlight." [ … ] I guess my mind's on warmer weather.
Hope you enjoy.
[ He now raises the instrument and begins to play. As soon as he's done, he bows his head and terminates the feed. This is also open to action for anyone in Discedo! ]

[He's dressed in his casual red outfit and carrying his bamboo flute in his hand. He smiles.]
I heard the music and knew right away it was a pipa! It plays so nicely in your hands~ Whoever this Marco is must be a really good friend of yours.
[Action | Mandarin]
[ He does bow his head a little too. ] I'm glad the music was okay.
[Action | Mandarin]
Of course~ I was the one who taught you after all! [He holds up his bamboo flute.] I found this in the apartment I had lived in! [He lowers it so he can turn it around in his hands, staring down at it curiously.] It's strange, though, because I know I always keep this in my room back home, so why is it here? This red outfit and even my photo album as well! This better not mean that my house was robbed!
[He looks at Hong Kong now, the smile coming back to his face as he holds up the flute again.] Why don't we play together?
[Action | Mandarin]
What're you saying? The only person who would've robbed you is you. It's your stuff, here or there. [ And he shrugs, deliberately, here. He didn't exactly mean to make the implication that he did. That he, also, belongs to whomever he belongs to, at home or on an alien planet far, far away. It's not really clear which is which. ]
Sure, let's play together. What're we playing?
[Action | Mandarin]
[China frowns briefly, rubbing at one of his temples with his free hand.] Well, those scientists could have had something to do with it. I don't remember, Hong Kong, so how am I supposed to remember that I brought these things here myself? That would explain those old rifles and knives I found, though.
How about this one? [He puts the flute to his lips and plays the beginning flute notes only to give the other an idea.] Shall we?
[Action | Mandarin]
[ Cocking his head to the side. He doesn't answer, instead focusing on the music. After a moment or two, he nods, following China's lead when he picks up his own instrument. ]

I was hoping to tell you something too, but we can talk about it as we drink our tea.

[He takes a seat on the tree stump across from Hong Kong's.]
As I was saying, there are actually quite a few things I wish to speak to you about. The first one concerns my photo album... When I looked through it, I noticed that the photos had been tampered with. [He frowns slightly.] I was torn out from nearly all the family photos and artists' drawings. I taped the missing pieces as best as I could, but it's just not the same. [He sighs.]
It makes me wonder who did it. Although, I've also considered the possibility that maybe I did it myself... [Of course he doesn't have the faintest idea why, or does he? He thinks back on what Kresnik told him.]
[Action | Mandarin]
Yeah? Why d'you think you'd do something like that?
[Action | Mandarin]
Well, I was told by a man named Commander Kresnik that the last time I was here, I was struggling with my personal conviction. Even though he told me that, none of it rings a bell.

[Action | Mandarin]
He sounded sincere, but I'm not really sure whether to believe him or not. It feels as though a part of me does, but another, smaller part doesn't. Yet, the part that doesn't believe, I think it's that way because a part of me may not want to remember.
But... a friend of mine that I have here, Adam Park, mentioned that I had been here once from the year 1937 and then a second time, except I was from 1967 then. Using that information, I connected my being from 1967 to what Commander Kresnik told me. I have a very good feeling that this connection isn't too far off, but it's missing the vital piece. My memories. It's... It's as though everything is there except for that one piece, like a puzzle.
If I truly was from 1967 last time I was here, then I most certainly would have had problems with my personal conviction given the... circumstances and events happening at the time. [It hurt him so much to see his own people destroying their culture and history with their own hands and he began to really question himself during that time. Now, though, at this moment, he continues to look at his reflection in the tea before bringing it to his lips.]
[Action | Mandarin]
I was here before and I forgot too. Don't stress yourself out trying to remember, yeah? It'll come back to you if it's supposed to.
[Action | Mandarin]
You're right. All this worrying will give me wrinkles. But... I still wish I remembered right now.
[He takes a sip of the tea.]
