[Video] In which phoenixes give out free books
[He starts off showing off the Spring art everyone's been doing around the apartment. It might not last long, but it's nice while it does.]
Thank you everyone who's been helping out on this. It's come out fantastically, eh? And there are still more walls to cover if anyone else is interested in a little side-project. [And with that a pair of dark blue ear hair tufts drifts lazily into view. Sneaking closer like the top fin on a shark moving through the water. Marco, however, seems oblivious.]
I started storing a bunch of the books onto the comms awhile back. Mostly the medical books for Cube, and then some of the romance novels a friend left behind. The ones I finished with I put over in the High School library, but this way if something happens to them again, we'll still have the content on these comms, eh? [And into view pops the terrifying werepire! AHHH! He sneaks up over Marco's shoulder and then sees the comm and grins.]
Teatime Sweetiebird!
[Marco jumps slightly at the voice and scowls at the nickname.] Don't call me that.
As you wish, Master.
[Despite that creepy interruption, Marco carries on.] I have an index of the ones I put in manually, but I'm not sure which books to tackle next. Any requests or at least genre preferences? And if you want to share your favorite books, I'll add those too.

[ that aside.. ] "Sweetiebird"? [ raising an eyebrow, Marco, what's going on. ]
[ video ] 1/2
[ video ] 2/2
[ video ]
And you somehow managed to get an idiot attached to you..?
[ video ]
Yeah, well... Someone has to look after the puppy.
[ video ]
What, they thought you'd make a good babysitter?
[ video ]
He's met Ace. And most of my little brothers are worse. Sadly. Besides, can you think of anyone else capable of dealing with him?
[ video ]
And.. I don't know, I've never talked much to him, just a few times at most. Then again, I guess I don't really doubt your abilities to look after people and deal with them too, with your huge family and all.
[ video ]
Mah, he's annoying, dangerous, and kind of a cute idiot when you give him the chance. That said, I wouldn't wish him on anyone else, but we've always had an understanding with each other and he's never broken it. That goes along way with pirates.
[ video ]
In fact, he sounds a lot like Amakusa, if anything. I'd have kicked him a long time ago.
[ video ]
Tatsumi's not all bad. Though believe me, I've tried to kick him through plenty of walls before.
[ video ]
... You've kicked him through walls?
[ video ]
I have. Hell, I did worse the first time his chip was removed.
[ video ]
The two of you just sound like you have such a wonderful relationship. [ sarcasm. ] What was it you did?
[ video ]
Well, he bit me without warning that time so I almost tried to kill him, but eh... he just got his chip out so that would have been a waste. He's kind of a good punching bag though. Except that he's a masochist.
[ video ]
Anyone who uses 'sweetiebird' is a masochist. [ or an idiot, but the two are the same to her, really.. ] That guy does sound like a handful to deal with though, for sure.
[ video ]
[A shrug.]
C'est La Vie.
[ video ]
[ video ]
Tatsumi at least knows how to be quiet, he just liked to be aggravating.
[ video ]
So he's doing that on purpose, to annoy you?
[ video ]
It's a personality thing. And with Garp... keeping my jaw still working was more the problem. What kind of psycho punches a phoenix. [Scowls again and shakes his head.]
And yes, he is. He's a masochist so he usually tries to rile me up to some level or another to see if how much I'll try to kill him. I assume he thinks I can't, or won't, actually go all the way with it.
[ video ]
But giving him what he wants would just be too easy, right?
[ video ]
Killing Tatsumi doesn't turn me on. [........... /sobs. No, but Marco is trying to imply that's what Tatsumi wants and that's the kind of sick thrill America gets sometimes.] Besides, he'd just keep coming back. I'm not into chew-toy style release. I kill for revenge, to make a statement, or to make sure something doesn't happen again. If I kill Tatsumi once I'll have to do it over and over again. It'd just get annoying. [... orz]
[ video ]
[ She manages to say that with her usual straight face, somehow.. this isn't going into embarassed tsundere territory just yet. ]
So you'd become more like some kind of janitor, huh? Taking care of the dirty spots in this city like that guy over and over again..
[ video ]
If I kill him, it'll be to send a message and I'll make it stick.
Anyway, he's one of Japan's citizen so Japan feels a little responsible for him.
