The Differo Report

Discedo! Long time no see. If I'd known in our last report that I would be swept away on an adventure, I likely would have said something ahead of time. Not that Fortuna ever cared about time management, but c'est la vie.

With that, welcome to the Differo Report! We've a lot to fill you in on, so listen closely. And unfortunately, we don't have time for any 'fun' segments this time around, but I'm sure you'll have 'fun' no less.

In our last report, you might remember a series of puzzles; You can look back on them with your communicators if you know how to work them. Anyway, the answer to the first is B, second is C, and the third is A. Did you get them right? Well, I hope those of you who cared actually did. You had a month to think on it. I'll let you guys ponder on your own why you might have been wrong on any of them; it's a good brain exercise.

Not long after that, letters aplenty began appearing at the doors of our beloved citizens. Odd letters that they were, they message they contained were more or less the same: a plea for help from a mysterious city called Lachesistein. The train route to this city was opened up not too long after. A group of civilians gathered, containing about thirty members and set off. They were a rag-tag team, but they did their duty, as far as I could tell.

Unfortunately, it was a journey made in vain. The friends and allies we believed to be trapped there were nothing more than a ruse created by a man by the name of Jeremy. Presently it can only be assumed that he's an earlier resident of Fortuna before the Experiment began, and his involvement with the scientists is none. At best, he's friend to no one, and dangerous to us all.

To those of you interested in going to Lachesistein, do reconsider the dangers that await. The whole team of thirty was nearly killed in an attempt to escape from a creature called a Weeping Angel. It seems several of the group were already aware of what these creatures were. At present it should be contained inside the house of mirrors--at least until the lights go out.

[abstruse]

The escape of the explorers was only thanks to one of the scientists, who appeared in person to assist us in pacifying the Angel. She disappeared quickly after that. Not long after our return to Discedo, she returned on the network to announce the new chip location, something all of us should be rejoicing about.

[abstruse]

There are also several other new monsters located in Lachesistein at present. It seems that the wall that contains the city is keeping them from moving out, so hopefully the dangers within will remain there. Green imps, doors that come to life, praying mantis the size of a body guard. I'd hate to have them here to say the very least.

[abstruse]

Passage to Lachesistein seems to be a permanent arrangement now, with the train still running to and fro. It's a six hour ride both ways with no inconvenient stops. Careful of the bumpy ride, though. You won't get much sleep on that journey.

[abstruse]

While that covers the happenings in Lachesistein this passed month, I'm going to pass the baton to my co-workers, so while that mess was happening in other cities, Marco will going enlighten us further on other happenings.

Oi oi, speak for yourself Clive, old boy, I'm always fun.

Yo, I'm Marco with the weather.

[He says like no one knows who he is.]

And by "weather" I mean monsters.

And by "monsters" I mean puni and mochi.

[fierybluebird]

And by "puni and mochi" I mean monsters, not an adjective and rice-ball ice cream.

Although they are tiny and act like ice cream which I'm sure is handy in all this hot weather--

Where was I again?

[fierybluebird]

Ah yes! Right.

The puni had long since disappeared from our not-so-fair cities, and it seemed the mochi had won their little game of chess in an epic unseen showdown.

[fierybluebird]

But all was not well in our cities. The puni made a rousing return, intent on routing out all the mochi forevermore!

[fierybluebird]

And so, lines were drawn in order to prove this town wasn't big enough for two different species of small hand-sized ball-creatures with faces.

[fierybluebird]

But the mochi proved to understand humanoid psyche better than the puni and earned as many violent city-dwellers to their side as inhumanly possible.

And through a series of fires, threats of torture, and downright insanity episodes, the mochi won the day.

[fierybluebird]

And to the puni and all those I might have scared during one such episode; my apologies. Seriously, eh.

In any case, the mochi won in a landslide. A rice-ball ice cream landslide even.

[fierybluebird]

And to all those who find them creepy, it looks like you'll be stuck with them for awhile. I can only promise you, mine never bites. Merely licks.

Hey, everybody. Jack here.

So unless you’ve been living under a rock or just got here this week, we should all know that China and Stocking got married on the 7th! Never thought something like that would happen in a place like this, huh?

[dewebbed]

The whole thing took up most of the day, so I’m sure everybody showed up at some point. The high school got decorated up all nice again, and we even got some good food here for once.

[dewebbed]

Even all the outfits turned out great. Seriously, this was all so nice it made me feel like I was in Bizzaro world. Haha!

[dewebbed]

Anyway, this was a traditional Chinese wedding, so it’s a bit different from all our stuffy western ones. A lot more arrow-shooting and bowing, right? But it definitely looked like it went awesome. I mean, I sure thought it did.

[dewebbed]

I think our newlyweds might be back from their honeymoon by now, so maybe they’ll see this- so, uh, congrats again, guys!

[dewebbed]

In other news, this week I’ve heard everybody saying something’s...different with us this week. Looks like people are having trouble doing and saying stuff right.

Like, for example, one of my friends told me to grab her cat for her when it was running around, but I just...couldn’t. Kind of creepy, actually.

[dewebbed]

But that was just me! Bet it's been different for everyone. Nothing's burned down yet, right?

[dewebbed]

So I hope you guys haven’t had anything too embarrassing happen ‘cos of all this, haha. Trust me, I know that feeling.
