As soon as River was back in Discedo, she made her way towards the bar. Usually the time traveler wouldn't drink unless she had a very good reason too. In her book, an encounter with the Weeping Angels that ends in being still alive is a perfect reason to drink. Of course, this was her second encounter with them in how many months? At least this time there was only one of them.
And people lived. More or less.
Once she reaches the bar she simply asks for the strongest drink they got and takes a seat to relax. She's willing to talk to whoever decides to sit down with her really. Just as long as she got to enjoy her drink.
[ooc: It's open to everyone and anyone? Come pester River!]

Drinking alone?

[River can't help but smile and raise her glass a little to invite Helen to do just that. As for herself, she could care less about the people around her. It's all about what they can do for her. Helen is just someone she's starting to like in this place and so far, hasn't died or run off.]

Glad to be back?

[She takes a sip of her drink before motioning to her.]
What about you? Happy to be out of that place?

[She's just going to casually take another sip of her drink.]
Though I will admit, it would be interesting if we could. Especially from an archeological standpoint.

So he takes a seat next to you and is just sort of... quiet for a moment.}
...All right, then, River?

[She knows he doesn't drink often but just the fact that he's in the bar with her makes the woman happy. River takes a sip of her drink before setting it down.]
I wasn't expecting to run into them here. I wonder what other things this planet has in store for us.

The angels are bad, but it could've been worse, I suppose.

[She frowns a little before picking her drink up again for another sip.]
At least everyone got out this time.

I realize I'm not one to talk, but perhaps some caution is in order.

He does, however, cast the unusual patron's face a cursory glance.
That's a face he knows, although he's only ever seen it on a screen. Curiosity getting the better of him, he decides to stride casually over, his free hand (the right) slipped in an outer pocket of his long black trench coat. The rim of his ever-present fedora cast the shadows further down his face, obscuring his eyes, already partially hidden by his messy fringe, so all that could easily be made out was his lopsided smirk.
He knows she won't recognize his face and he's certain that he looks so damn shady he'd put almost anyone on edge, but he's curious still. He just wants to see how she'd react to him, if she reacted at all, without giving his identity away... and maybe find out why she's here.]
Re: [Action]
It was a simple warning. Don't start something or she will end it. And River happens to have some wicked aim]
Can I help you or should I be shooting and asking questions later.
[Action]
[The quiet, faintly amused, but otherwise coolly unaffected voice should ring familiar.
He casually pulls up a chair, regardless of any other chairs that might've been there already, inviting himself to sit with her. He switches the drink over to his right hand can pluck out his own pistol to casually place on the tabletop.] There, feel any safer. [He never really asks questions, always delivering them like orders or, at lightest, statements.] It's the only weapon on me.
Re: [Action]
[She's casually watching as his voice registers with her. Yes, she recognizes it and can put two and two together unlike some people she's met over the years.]
Much better actually, though I doubt that's the only weapon on you.
[After all, even River kept more than one on her person at all times. So that just left them to conversation.]
It's interesting to finally meet you in person Gin.
[Action]
The scientists weren't kind enough to provide me with any of my other weapons, unfortunately, so this really is it.
I'd say the same to you, but you spoiled a good chunk of the surprise with all those video calls.
[He sips his drink, before leaning froward over the table, arms crossed lazily on the table.] Still think I'd fill in a space suit. [He's not lithe by any stretch of the imagination, least of all when it comes to his upper half, as he's so markedly broad-shouldered that he looks disproportionately top-heavy. He's so tall that if he didn't have such a strong physique, he would probably look comically lanky.
This can't really be what he approached her to talk about, could it?]

It's you it's you! What are you doing?
Re: [Action]
Having a drink. Just got back from one hell of a trip so I thought it was time to celebrate.

He probably wouldn't have taken notice to her if she hadn't asked for the equivalent of paint thinner. The strangest sense of deja-vu swept over him when she asked for said drink, and getting up, the French man wandered over to the woman, pausing before her. ]
I am not one to lecture, [ Lie. ] --but I find it is far more satisfying to talk about my problems than to drown them in alcohol. [ Yeah no he's not going to ask to sit next to her. He's just going to do it. ] And if you are going to drown them in alcohol, it is far better to do it with, j'sais pas, wine than this poison. [ He gestures to her glass. ]

[If the alcohol's tasted bothered her, it didn't show. River had probably drank worse over the years.]
Besides this is more of a celebration drink not drowning my problems, Cutie.
this is so late, i'm so sorry
[ A smile, oh and flirtations. Yes, flirtations are never a bad thing. ]
A celebration, vraiment? And what are you celebrating, ma belle? Can I celebrate it avec toi?
That's fine!
I'm celebrating coming back alive. Anytime you can walk away from a Weeping Angel is a time to celebrate. If you want to celebrate with me, I won't stop you. The more the merrier.
